What makes a great website?

A great website sets you apart from the competition - with the ever increasing on-line 'noise' a professional website is crucial for your business. Our bespoke websites are designed specifically to attract your target market, they are simple yet eye catching and easy to navigate on both desktop computers and mobile devices. We ensure that your visitors can not only find you easily but find all of the important information that your website has to offer.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

We really get to know your business before we get to work. Typical questions include, 'Describe your ideal customer', 'Give us three words that sum up your business ethos', 'Do you have an existing logo or branding?', 'Name three businesses that you admire', 'Do you have a specific colour scheme for your business?'

What information do you need from a client before you start work?

We have a short briefing document that we send out to all new customers, from this we gather all of the information we require. This includes information about your business, your deadline, your content, photography (if required), your competitors and your target audience.

What sorts of printing projects do you usually cater for?

If you can print it, we cater for it! Off the shelf items include, business stationery, flyers, folded leaflets, booklets, brochures, folders, vouchers, greetings cards, roller banners, exhibition graphics, branded workwear and much more.

Describe your creative process.

We research our customer sector and their target market. As a team we brain storm initial concepts and then work up our ideas to send over to the customer as initial visuals. We engage in discussions with the client and work through any alterations to reach final sign off.

What information do you need from a client before you can start work?

We need a background of the business and your requirements before we start work. We have a quick series of questions specifically for print jobs and website projects, these will be provided before we begin.

What do you love most about your job?

We love the creative process and we especially like helping our clients to achieve their goals and targets through their on-line and off-line marketing.

What inspired you to start your own business?

After years of working as an in-house designer I wanted a hands on approach to dealing with customers and delivering stunning design solutions, and so ego was born!

So when Nelson’s Gin needed a spirited product launch, our sophisticated palates – and colour palettes – were delighted to step up to the plate. Or rather, the glass. Nelson’s Gin will be appreciated by connoisseurs. Created by one man, and introduced into a market in which craft gins proliferate, Nelson’s Gin stands apart from the rest. It is also the only gin produced on the Derbyshire and Staffordshire borders, made in small batches in a highly sophisticated, 21st century version of a ‘cottage industry’. Denstone Hall (Digital, Photography, Print)

There’s no room for paltry poultry or fruitless jams at Denstone Hall Farm Shop and Café. Here, in the thriving business created by the vision and passion of Rupert and Emma Evans, they’re proud to offer food as it should taste; fresh from the farm or café kitchen or brought in from local farmers and producers who share Denstone’s commitment to quality and deliciousness. Denstone is a working farm, producing beef, sausages and its own dry-cured bacon. The farm won the ‘Taste of Staffordshire Award 2014’, its sausages are officially the ‘West Midlands Tastiest Sausage’ and its kitchens produce bread, scones, cakes, biscuits and pies that set a standard others can only hope to follow. Customers flock to Denstone Farm for the best locally produced, free range meat and wild game, for the finest regional cheeses, for fresh, flavoursome fruit and veg, jams, pickles and preserves, hampers, cards, gifts and a visit to a café that’s the best for miles. A delicious challenge: Denstone Hall needed to update its website to capture and reflect its freshness, originality and the variety of its offering. Working closely with Rupert and Emma, we have delivered the goods… a website that makes relevant use of all the latest technologies, has a full CMS, is built in WordPress and is responsive across all devices, mobile phones and tablets. Mouthwatering stuff. Rupert is a trained and experienced graphic designer and he and Emma are instinctively superb at marketing their business. It was good to share insights. And now? We’re moving on to look at Denstone’s printed materials, plus designing and building a website for Twine Clothing, one of the on-site, external businesses that’s adding even more variety to the farm’s offering. GCI (Digital)

If we weren’t inspired by the power of telecommunications and ICT, it wouldn’t have been such a thrill. But we are, and it was. What was? Winning the GCI Channel Solutions business. GCI is the UK’s number one telecommunications and ICT services company. ‘They all say that’, you might say, but as the UK’s 19th fastest-growing privately-owned business with a turnover of £55 million (Investec), it’s a fact. Impressed? Yup. A little intimidated? Nope. Because we appreciate the power and potential of achieving clarity, simplicity and efficiency through technology better than the next man. Or woman, in our case. Which gave us the confidence, as well as the necessary vision, to beat off competition from some serious rivals for this terrific new business win. GCI called us two days after our initial meeting. Within three weeks we were working on their new website, with sixteen weeks to deliver. With strict brand guidelines and working alongside GCI’s own graphic designer, we designed and built eleven bespoke templates for a site which is fully responsive, with full CMS and built in Modx. And that’s just the tech spec. GCI needed a site that showcased and marketed their abilities in a way that was fresh, informative and inspiring. We delivered. Today, we manage GCI’s website. To date, we’ve produced over forty bespoke web banners to further build on their online marketing strategy. GCI is growing fast. It’s brilliant. In fact, it’s more than brilliant.
