This truly is a top-notch design firm.We purchased a large secluded wooded lot in the Bluffview area of Dallas and we hired Edict to design and construct the home. Finding a modern designer and contractor that understood the difference between modern and traditional construction was not easy so when I found Edict I knew it was the right company.

I was expecting it to be a huge headache like my previous homes but due to Edict's attention to detail and excellent communication, it turned out to be a much less-stressful process than I could have imagined. Not only did Donovan come up with fresh ideas for maximizing and adorning the space, he tailored each and every room to fit my family's particular needs and, after only a few meetings with us, he seemed to know what we needed from the space better than we did! They provided us with a level of service that far surpassed what I had come to expect from interior designers/architects, and they actually ended up managing the entire project from conception to completion, freeing me up to focus on my family and other obligations, instead of spending all my time holding my contractors hand. My project was finished within my time frame and within my budget constraints, and that is in no small part thanks to their superb project management. As a lawyer, I am in the service business and am always really excited when I meet other professionals who really understand first class service and think of ways of saving their clients money. Let me just say this upfront: - I am highly highly impressed with Donovan Lord and his firm, Edict.

I found Edict through the Web and talked to Donovan through emails and then phone calls. I have found Donovan to be very thorough, personable, direct, and responsive and he has a great ability to think outside the box for projects. He was able to customize a job that required research and thinking into a great design for me and my wife. I have recommended him to others in my neighborhood and I believe they are finding the same great service.

Donovan designed our new construction home in Dallas from the ground up. He made sure that both the exterior architecture and interior design were both harmonious and in sync with our family's lifestyle.

The construction went very smoothly and we were able to deal directly with Edict on any issues that were quickly rectified which was great because we didn't have to deal with the architect and contractors separately.

Our house turned out great and we love living in it and plan to stay here forever! If we ever leave we know it will sell for a great deal because we used edict to find our land, build our house and to do the construction and interior design.

Donovan was very easy to work with and very patient and didn't force his opinions on us as some previous designers we had worked with had in the past. We highly recommend Edict! More...

Edict provided us with three outstanding designs to update our 12 year old home (Master Bath, Kitchen, and Back Yard). We have since completed the Kitchen construction and couldn't be happier.
