We also do a lot of terracing and levelling, taking the slope out of the garden to make usable spaces.

How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
A cavity wall with suitable insulation and dampproofing are a great place to start, although External Insulation is a solution. A good roof and existing services also cut down the cost, but again anything can be looked atr and appropriate solutions found. The floor is also very important, to be used as living space, again insulation is a must.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
On most garages the floor must be dug up and appropriate damp proof and insulation installed, then a new floor put down. Assuming the external walls are sound, insulation would be checked. Cavity wall insulation can be inserted if needed or internal cladding. The roof would be checked and made sound. Any internal studwork done. First fix of services done at this point. Then any internal plastering and a ceiling put in. Finally second fix services and decorated.

The variety, The flexibility, The reaction of customers when they see the result.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked in a factory when i first left school and in many businesses there is no loyalty to staff. I am my own boss and this gives me time with my daughter, Eden.

Although I don't take on so many bigger jobs now, I have done everything from full attic and garage conversions, to Landscaping jobs worth tens of thousands.
