I booked Dynamique Dance & Parties for a Gruffalo themed party for my 4 year old daughter and it was brilliant! Gruffalo story with props, dancing, games, parachute, pass the parcel. .. lots to keep everyone entertained! Katie and her colleague (so sorry I've forgotten her name!!!!) were fantastic and very accomodating with timings for food, cake etc. My daughter can be quite shy and Katie was able to help her when she was feeling abit overwhelmed, which was lovely to see. I wanted to give it a few days before writing thus as we made the mistake of hiring DD for my daughters 6th cheerleading birthday party on Saturday and need to share my experience.
Given that I warned them my feedback would be poor I’m not surprised they have disabled their FB reviews, it’s not a shock to me as Katie (the director) doesn’t take feedback very well.
Where to begin? We were promised A LOT for our £170 but all we really wanted was fun for the kids with as little drama as possible for the grown ups. How wrong we were!
After refusing to send me the running order late last week so we could plan food timings etc (apparently I’d already had it which they later conceded I didn’t) Katie arrived and told me it must have slipped her mind to add it to the contract as she had ‘so many customers’. Feeling ever so special as a customer at this point I gritted my teeth, the show needed to go on so I tried to stay positive for Poppy’s sake. Only when they wanted me to settle up the cash balance did they come over to talk though the timings and make some small talk. At this point we had guests arriving so it was the last thing I wanted to be debating however I stayed optimistic as I had been promised a lovely bespoke cheer party with games.
The drama really began when Katie (who was clearly a little erratic from the outset) shouted at two children who had somehow knocked her speaker off a table. This in itself wouldn’t have been so bad but she then screamed at a one year old, grabbed the mic and told all the parents they were not watching their children properly. My husband waited a few minutes then went over and explained her behaviour was unprofessional and abrupt and asked her why she had put the equipment there if it wasn’t safe. She was confrontational again although at this point we were 40 mins into a 2 hour party with 20+ children to entertain so we agreed to speak to her again at the end.
The party itself was average. The games went down well but there was no ‘teaching of a dance routine and presentation’ and certainly not as much cheering as we had been promised. There were no pyramids like she had promised and it was clear the content was not up for discussion whatsoever.
After the party I popped outside as she was sloping off to say calmly that I was disappointed I’d had parents complain about her behaviour and this was met with an outburst of aggression and anger that seed completely irrational. She demanded an apology and said she was upset to which I replied if the speaker had fallen into the one year old guest then we would be having a different conversation about her public liability insurance.
I realised I was getting nowhere and advised her I would be leaving a negative review however she followed me back into to building and clearly wanted an altercation with one of the parents that had mentioned her conduct. This ended with her shouting, crying and behaving completely inappropriately in the hallway to the venue whilst my daughter tried to enjoy the last few minutes of her birthday.
Katie, when your own daughter turns 6 I hope you reflect on your behaviour on Saturday and are ashamed. Your customers are paying you to remove the drama from the day but you did the exact opposite.
Finally, if my feedback isn’t important I’d like to share with you that the last thing my little girl said to me before going to sleep on Saturday night was ‘Why did the cheerleader shout at my friends?’ I was unable to give her an adequate reply because there’s no reason which justifies your inappropriate behaviour at a kids party.

We had a lovely afternoon at the baby wearing dance class. Katie is very friendly, really interactive with the babies and is clear and helpful with instructions for us mums. It was really nice being silly and daft with my little boy and actually made me feel quite emotional. We all spend lots of our days rushing around trying to be the best parents we can and getting everything 'right', but today allowed me to spend an hour dancing and playing with my little one with nothing else on my mind just him and me. We booked a group of 20 girls for a hen party, learning a range of dances that we could do at the wedding. We had the most fabulous day and the bonus of Katie (our choreographer/party hostess) filming our terrible attempts at the dance on our phones for us.
We chose Dynamique as when we contacted them, we got a really good service, fast (and cheap!) quote and a really good feeling about the company/service. I can't fault them, we had such a great day and we are all excited about performing some of our new dance moves at the wedding! Thanks so much Dynamique!

Excellent party provided for my daughter's (Martha) 4th birthday in July 2017. I can't recall the persons name but whoever performed as 'Anna' was really fantastic. She coped very well with a busy party of over 20 children and ensured that all children had a chance to be involved - as little or as much as they wanted. We had a Minion Party for our daughters 2nd Birthday and it was absolutely amazing! The girls turned up in plenty of time and actually knew the building better than we did so could go off and get ready and make their entrance off the stage that I didn't even know was possible! Lauren did a fantastic job leading and getting the kids involved. It was a tricky crowd as at 2 years old many had a short attention span but she did it brilliantly and knew exactly when to take breaks/get the cake out. The few older kids really got involved too. She was amazing with the younger ones who were a little bit scared of minion at first and interacted with everyone and checked in with me constantly on what we wanted. Everyone commented how great it was - and it took a look of stress away from planning the party as it was all taken care of. We booked Princess Belle to come to our house and entertain my daughter and her friends for her fourth birthday and they all had a brilliant time. Lots of fun and games, the kids were hooked throughout while the adults were able to relax and have a drink. Our son also had a Pokémon themed party for his 6th birthday with all his classmates a few months ago, which was also brilliant and we booked that after going to a superhero party and having the best time. The staff was amazing and very welcoming to all the children and spent time talking to all the children as well as the birthday girl. The children was entertained from start to finish and there was games to suit everyone. We had a princess and pirate party and the costumes was great and they played the characters really well. Face painter is great with the children to and made sure that they all got one whether they wanted a tattoo or face painting. I attended the princess ball 27/8/17 with my 3 year old daughter and my cousin and her 2 daughters who are 3 and 4. The event was brilliantly planned and really professional. The staging was amazing, the princesses were fabulous with all the children and we all really enjoyed the ball. I think it was excellent value (face painting, food & drinks, entertainment, goodie bags, games and dancing and show) for money and loved getting the professional photos after the event. We came to the princess ball on Sunday. It was perfect. My 2 daughters smiled from the moment we entered the room. They were in ore of your princesses. My oldest daughter (4) usually needs her sister with her if she wants to dance as her confidence isn't great, but not here. She absolutely made my day and bought a tear to my eye watching her dance and copy the princesses without a care in the world! She particularly liked gangnam style. Which I managed to get a video of her doing & I can't stop smiling at! My youngest daughter (3) requested in the face painting to be "sunset shimmer" (she's obsessed with my little pony/equestrian girls) the lovely lady googled the image for her, and made her up to be sunset shimmer. Every other party we've been too and she's asked for that, they've always just told her it's not on the list. The princesses dealt with the children so well and made them feel super special! Wow wow wow! We can not thank Katie & her team enough. We organised a superhero training party for my little boys 4th birthday. We didn’t pick the best day as it snowed � but these guys were professional from the get go. Amazing communication over email & by phone when I needed her. A very reassuring email was sent over to explain that there’s not much that will stop them from getting to a venue which was a fantastic & unexpected touch that made a worried Mum sleep better! And they delivered just that! The two entertainers were fantastic, Kyle & Lauren. Again super friendly, very helpful & extremely professional. We had a little blip due to the snow, poor Lauren had a rough drive over but she still made sure she got to us & performed like nothing had happened. The kids took to them straight away & loved every minute. I can not thank them both enough. All the parents were asking who these guys were & were very impressed.
