Dean has recently done 'surgery' on several of my guitars from altering the action on both electric and nylon , pick-up replacement and neck re-alignment. All are now in great shape and a joy to play. Dean is a very approachable guy who doesn't blind you with b******t, (especially helpful for me !!) and gives honest advice. Dean's has now undertaken the setups on all of my guitars for the past few years, and has made a significant difference to them all. They have always been returned beautifully set to my requirements, and the quality of his work is always exceptional.Most significantly has been my Washburn 12-string which he has done most recently. It went in with an uncomfortably high action, and was quite unpleasant and difficult to play. However, now returned it plays and sounds like a completely different guitar, one that I now struggle to put down.In addition to his fantastic work, he always quotes an honest turnaround, with prices that you'll find hard to beat anywhere. Dean taught me guitar for 7 years. From starting as a complete beginner when I was 11, I learnt so much over those 7 years that helped me develop hugely as a musician. I didn't just go through technical exercises for 7 years - there was plenty of learning and playing to songs, exploring music theory and everything that could possibly be useful in being a guitarist and a musician. I can now say as a professional self-employed musician (even though my main trade is playing and teaching drums) that I owe a whole lot to Dean's teaching. Without Dean, I wouldn't be as good as playing in bands as he developed my musicianship; I wouldn't understand harmony and music theory; I wouldn't even be able to write songs.
