I hired Bacchanalia on short notice for a small event that was very important to me. Livia came over for a consultation. I let her know that I was stressed out about the dinner party. I was even worried about setting my house up for the event. Livia totally put me at ease. She quickly whipped up a menu that sounded divine and then she did a walk-through of the house, she let me know that this was "totally doable". That night she emailed me pictures of table settings, China patterns, and glassware to choose from. I asked her if it was possible to have her set up the day before the party so that I'd have time to focus on my guests the day of the event. Livia and her crew came the day prior and set up. They put together a beautiful table setting with flowers, accents, plates, bowls, silver, crystal wine and drinking glasses. They turned my living room into an elegant dining hall. Livia brought samples from her chef to make sure that I LOVED the menu. The party was a hit, the service was perfect, the food was excellent and plentiful, and seconds were requested of dessert. Livia Peterson of Bacchanalia was absolutely amazing for our wedding and also my baby shower. She had ideas for our wedding and my shower that I would have never thought of, for food presentation, meals and decor. Very fun and willing to work however long it took to get everything just right! It was a very unique and personal way of putting everything together and it made our events so special. The food was absolutely Wonderful tasting also beautifully presented ! I will continue to use Bacchanalia for all my special events in the future for sure! How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?
Life is meant to be enjoyed. Part of getting the most out of your experiences is being able to maneuver so if the nourishment you take becomes detrimental to your bodie ability to move easily it's an indication that changes could/should be made. However, since everyone is different there isn't a set rule as to what the perimeters may be.
What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Floater guests, a hosted bar, and an ice breaker group starter dance, I.E swing or line dancing.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Unabashedly flamboyant with classical vintage accents and masquerade themes.
What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I like to keep the camera very low profile. People act differently when they know you're snapping pictures. Some go overt, some get shy. I try to find semi-candid. That place where you haven't had it in their face, they know what you're doing, but you've been there so long they forget.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What's the party you've always dreamed of but didn't think was possible.
What do you love most about your job?
I love watching people's face when they take that first bite of your food and you can tell they LOVE LOVE it!! Having people gush over your cooking never gets old!!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have reached a level of expectation as it relates to professional performance that doesn't work if I'm not running the show. I see service as a finely tuned machine and find great satisfaction in the attainment of "perfect nights". Unfortunately, maybe, maybe not, the older I get the less tollarant I am of breaches in operational quality. Since I've always been a self starter, I do my best work when I'm allowed a great breadth of autonomy. Most people need more hands on guidance and the only way I can ensure they get the "proper" guidance is if the buck stops with me. Think of it as a semi-benevolent dictatorship.
