I worked for this company during the pandemic. .. I was a Supervisor for their concrete sidewalk division. I write a truthful honest take on my experience there.


I have never....ever....worked for a more toxic, chaotic, humiliating, demeaning company. The Manager for the Concrete division ...makes it part of his personal/work checklists to make at least half his workers feel less than human ( cursing belittling and yelling on a DAILY basis). I worked there for 7 months begging for my health insurance I was promised after 3 months probation if I was going to remain with them(which they never gave me even though I documented many times that I was desperate). I told them that I have mental health issues and combined with the chaos that Marcelo (Manager) causes on the job making it difficult for anyone with disabilities to be a productive employee. One of the Co owners Nick, allows this behaviour and does nothing to stand up for the rights of the workers.

They got me and a few new guys OSHA training cards that they didn't attend the courses for.... NO you cannot trust that all their employees OSHA cards are valid. I even brought up serious quality control issues I was having with the finished concrete work due to blatant indulgence of alcohol and marijuana on the job site during working hours by the employees (because the Manager allows it). When I got yelled at for the bad quality of the work, I would tell the Manager they are drinking and getting high....that's why it looks like that. He would say don't worry about that.... just make it look good, but not too good ...because they will expect it to look that good all the time.

This is not to be mean to the company but to be fair to their employees....They are abused even though they are Union. More...

A friend had recommended me to Dragonetti Brothers Landscaping and since it is such a well-known company in Brooklyn I decided to give them a call to enquire about my front yard that I have been wanting to re-do for years. When I called for a price, they told me they would schedule someone to come by to meet with me for Free! Dragonetti brothers came by and were so professional, they knew exactly what I wanted. I went on and scheduled the job and I could not be happier with the results. Not only was the design exquisite, but my front lawn has never looked healthier. Dragonetti is awesome. They removed a 60+ foot Blue Spruce from my Brooklyn backyard and moved it through a ground floor apartment without a trace. Jeanette from Dragonetti was very helpful from the minute I started talking about my garden. I came to her with a design and sketches, and she helped me choose the right materials for what I was after. The first quote was a bit above my budget, so she happily adjusted some things and suggested what I could do to make my design work within my budget. To get my brownstone backyard and front yard complete, it took an incredibly fast one day, and they just came back the next day to top off some places with mulch. Since the landscaping, I've been to the Dragonetti Garden Center and purchased a range of flowers and veggies for my garden, all really affordable and are growing well.
