I booked my stay online and was impressed by the reviews I’d read so was looking forward to visiting Downham Hall. Me and my girlfriend were attending a wedding and needed to check in early. .. I called to see if this was possible and the lady couldn’t have been more helpful! She welcomed and allowed us to arrive early and use the room even though she wasn’t onsite. Very accommodating and understanding. The building and surroundings are beautiful with lovely little thoughtful touches. The room was huge with top quality furnishings and dreamy view! It was clean and fresh and faultless.
Breakfast was served in a beautiful area over looking the garden and the food was delicious... not left wanting for anything.
We were only visiting the area for my friends wedding, however we will be making another booking soon as a treat to ourselves

Went for a look around today. Beautiful family owned venue, still in the process of renovation but enough has been completed to give a good impression of what the finished article will be. It's a beautiful old house set in acres of open countryside complete with a church which once upon a time served the family that lived there. Parts of the house date back 400 years. We were very impressed and really like the owners who do everything they can to make you feel welcome. So far would definitely recommend More...
