Both Kathy and David were welcoming and totally professional. Their expertise on the products were amazing. They have a full array of products and very knowledgeable. Kathy explained whatever questions I had and gave advise when asked. A wealth of information. The blinds were exactly what we needed for the rooms we needed them. Our period couch came back reupholstered and looked brand new and the fabric was awesome. I have two more chairs that need tender loving remake and will get to that phase soon. I was thrilled and delighted with the entire process and would recommend Dow Decorating to anyone who is in the market for a 'furniture makeover' or a new purchase of blinds, fabric etc. My husband was not 'on board' of reupholstering the couch but when it was complete and delivered he was amazed and stated ...they changed an outdated couch in his mind (period furniture), to a brand new couch that made our living room amazingly complete! We recently moved into a new home and went to Dow Decorating to choose dining room drapes that would match the paint and new carpet for that room. Cathy Dow was and is an outstanding, skilled, and helpful designer! The material and style of the drapes that she presented to us to choose from were outstanding! The installation of the drapes I chose and that were made for me was professional and the final outcome just beautiful! I would add a few more stars if I could. My experience with Dow Decorating could not have been better. Dave and Kathy Dow are experienced and talented professionals who turned an idea I had into a reality. As a former sailboat enthusiast, I wanted themed window treatments throughout my house -- canvas awnings and roped sail shades. Dave came to the house to scope out the project and then added his ideas to my own. Kathy made useful suggestions as well. Dave applied his special architectural skill to creating the awnings. Then he dramatized the awnings and sail shades with cordage and rope. When the job was done (on time!), it was exactly what I hoped for. A flawless installation of 8 window treatments and a beautiful and perfect result! I can sum up Dow Decorating in two words -- Highly Recommended.Paula HuffellI forgot to mention in my posting above that Dow also recovered my dining chairs and a large window seat cushion. DOW decorating great work. If your furniture is structurally sound it's worth looking in to having it recovered. Dave does a great job. His fine attention to detail really shows in his work. I wish I could give them 10 stars. Having owned multiple homes and used a number of interior designers and decorators over the years, I have always had to explain my wishes to the designer/decorator as they always seemed to take "artistic" license with my various projects. I was pleasantly pleased when I found Dow Decorating. They listened, truly listened, to my description of what I wanted and gave me exactly that.
