I travel around the country (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester) on business and stay over a few times each week. This is by far the best hotel in the centre of Manchester and I stay here every single time. There is no other hotel near Manchester Piccadilly which even comes close. Check in was quick and easy and the staff were very happy and helpful. Room was cosy and welcoming and view was great. We had dinner in the restaurant which was tasty and the host was very chatty creating a relaxing environment, however when our meal was brought over the gentleman serving stated the wrong meal (we all make mistakes that’s fine) when questioned he said ‘well it all looks the same’. For a £27.99 Veal I want it to look different and taste amazing! Luckily it did. When finishing our delicious meal we were asked about coffees or desserts which also sounded great so we were very happy to have a look, however after 20minutes we had to ask for the menu as the server just forgot. This would have been accepted if there was more people in the restaurant but there were 3 other tables of 2 people. Overall our experience was very good. Have changed to the Third room now as the previous rooms had a ticking sound from the Airco and The third so called upgrade is still not up to standard. Carpet looks a bit dodgy, in the bathroom there are no towels for two persons. No rain shower as I have an all other hotels where I’ve been to. Curtains didn’t close. Stupid red things under my TV, all a bit out of date. The telephone information to contact reception is that small that you not even can read it. I really can’t take this hotel serious I’m sorry. Cheaper hotels just around the corner deliver better quality and comfort. The goods, staff is really nice and they try to do the best they can. Shame this hotel can’t live up to the expectancy of a Hilton. And I really feel ashamed to complain again. More...

Stayed over last night with my wife, second time at the hotel and was fantastic.
Great view from our room on the 9th floor, very comfy king size bed, tasty breakfast, friendly and welcoming staff.
What more can you ask for!

Absolutely spot on! Hotel straight across from train station, central to absolutely everything! Gorgeous room - clean & fresh, staff absolutely lovely & extremely polite & helpful, food was absolutely delicious had our evening meal here, not to long to wait, hot & tasty & again wonderful staff, even left our luggage after we checked out so we could spend the day in Manchester & didn’t have to carry a big bag about, picked it up on our way to twin station, 10/10 many thanks for making our stay as comfortable & as pleasant as you did

The hotel is lovely, we had a big and beautiful bedroom and the breakfast is amazing! We were just a bit let down by the service - we struggled to get coffee for the room when we ran out (there was only enough coffee, milk and sugar for one cup each) and we were unable to reach front desk or housekeeping when we rang. We hung up after a minute of waiting for someone to pick up the phone and gave up after several attempts. The hotel is very well located, only a few mins walk away from the main central area and nightlife. We are happy with our stay overall and we will gladly visit again. More...

If you are looking for a central and comfy hotel in Manchester, you came in the right place.
DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton is a fantastic place to enjoy your stay, the hotel is part of a chain and part of the well known Hilton Worldwide, which means you can't go wrong with it.
The hotel is in a perfect location just outside the Piccadilly station in Manchester, the design is modern and offers to guest a lot of facilities as lounge, bar, restaurant, gym and much more.
During my stay, I had a standard double room with an amazing view over the street, must say I loved it especially because I could enjoy the sunshine coming from the big window. The room had a very comfy king size double bed, a beautiful desk just next the window where I could enjoy working on my laptop, a big plasma TV on the wall, a great wardrobe storage with iron board, an amazing bathroom with shower big enough for 2 people and last not least an Italian coffee machine which I literally loved it especially on the morning!
DoubleTree Hotel also offer access to a gym 24h on the first floor and has 1 restaurant and 1 bar accessible at the ground floor.
I've managed to try both of those, the bar is a really cool and chill place to enjoy crafts beer and chat with your friends with a nice background music. The restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner for the hotel, looks an authentic American steakhouse restaurant where you can enjoy a rich continental breakfast and amazing steaks or burger for lunch and dinner, not too formal must say.
The service throughout all the stay has been excellent and with few complimentary drinks and cookies given at the check in, I can only give them a 5/5 stars rating for the fabulous service provided.
