The hotel is well kept, even though it may be a bit older. The furniture is aged. They don't have any USB ports on the lights or anywhere in the room. But the room is clean and nothing is cracked, dirty, or overused. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is quite good. You can see the video of my visit here:  youtu.be/NF_nvXla5a8 More...

During my stay on 11/05/2018, everything went smoothly: clean room with modern HVAC system, friendly staff, complimentary toiletries in the bathroom, greeting with a warm cookie with nuts at the front desk, free parking, huge and inviting lobby, etc. There was a business center, which I didn't get to try.The breakfast was not included in the price of the room. Room was ok , a bit outdated . Front desk was super helpful and accommodating, only reason won't give five stars because they forgot to pick up my breakfast order still had the door sign hanging on my door the next morning , so ended up with cranky kids .

I came here for a wedding. The hotel was very nice and the staff was helpful. They even gave us cookies. We booked a double bed room but it didn't have a refrigerator so the front desk was nice enough to let us change to a king suite with a refrigerator. The wedding was beautiful! The hotel done a great job! More...

Nice hotel! We got cookies upon our arrival. Staff was great and seemed to be happy at their job. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was quiet. There seemed to be a nice morning breakfast buffet. This was one of my better hotel stays. :) More...

I want to start off by saying I am not one of those people that look for handouts or free upgrades. I chose this hotel specifically for the indoor pool and hot tub. I booked with a representative on the phone who didnt mention anything about renovations going on and when I got to the hotel no one mentioned anything about the pool being closed. Got to my room and went to go to the pool. The pool was closed so I called the customer service number for Hilton. The lady on the phone patched me over to the front desk which upgraded my room to the king bedroom suite. The king suite has a whirlpool tub which is a good substitute for the nonworking pool area. Overall my experience was pleasant. The lobby is gorgeous. I just hope the spend some money renovating the rooms. The hotel seems almost outdated. But again the staff were great and my experience although at first was ruined got better when they upgraded my room. More...

Attended a banquet event and it was great service. Buffet was good, salad always a favorite, clam chowder was delicious as well. Held in one of the ballrooms, the room was the perfect size for the event. Plenty of space to walk around without feeling crowded and plenty of space between the tables, too. More...

This place is excellent!! Comfortable rooms with all the amenities. But the Friday night buffet is awesome. Even at $30 per person, it is well worth it. The crab legs were delicious. People who aren't staying at the hotel come in for the buffet. They even have live music for you to enjoy. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. A great place to relax! More...

The double tree in Augusta is a great place to have your event, social gathering, or just a nice place to stay while you're visiting the many attractions in Augusta. The staff is well trained and provides a first class experience. Be sure to stop by on the weekends for the luxurious buffet dinner complete with stakes and crab legs. More...

We stayed at Doubletree and our experience was wonderful. We also dined
in Andrews restaurant while we were there and our waitress, Morgan Cooper, was one of the best servers we have ever had in our life. Thank you DoubleTree and Morgan Cooper. We will return again because of such a great experience. To More...

Some ongoing construction makes the place not look as good as normal, but it's still nice. Staff is excellent; very friendly and courteous. Breakfast is pretty good, room was nice and clean. Plenty of places to sit in the room too. Shower could stand to be a little nicer, but it's perfectly acceptable as-is. Overall, a good place to lay your head and relax for the night. More...

On a whim  we went to the all you can eat  seafood buffet at the doubletree.  Really well presented.  Food was excellent.  Waiter , Matt was attentive and personable. Chris handed out the crab legs and if you were under 5 you got extra legs just because you are cute and have to work  harder to get the plate up high enough  for  him to see you the old timers gently motioned where to get plates. Honestly ,  I  have been to so many buffets and the choices took president over quality, this was not the case. Go, enjoy. .. ask for Matt section- he is going into nursing and could use the tips! This review is based purely on eating in the restaurant - note that I've never stayed here so I can't comment on the rooms. The hotel itself was built decades ago and the exterior and the architecture- while well maintained - is dated. Don't expect a sleek and modern look...and that's OK because it's the interior that's important. The lobby area and the restaurant are both well kept and while not ultra chic, they are comfortable, attractive and clean. The restaurant is large with multi levels and certain seats overlook the pool area. Three times we've eaten here for Thanksgiving dinner and I can recommend the food and service. The Thanksgiving buffet offers a cold food line which includes: pasta salads, seafood salads, regular salads, fruit, boiled shrimp, oysters on the half shell - beside this cold line are a selection of cheeses with crackers, seared ahi, smoked salmon and accoutrements. Entrees and side dishes are set up in a buffet line in the middle of the main restaurant seating area. The side dishes are what you expect: potato casserole, greens, macaroni and cheese, dressing and gravy, steamed mixed vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini mix) and the like. At the end of the line are the proteins - fish, roast beef, turkey and ham. If you still have room after all this, there's also a dessert line with several kinds of pie, cakes, cheesecakes and petit-fours. All our interactions with the staff have been two thumbs up - friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located very close to one of the area hospitals (Doctors Hospital), is less than 15 minutes' ride from the city's airport and a large shopping center is a five minute drive away. While the address is shown as Augusta, the hotel is located on the west side of the metropolitan area, closer to the suburbs of Martinez and Evans than to downtown. More...

This place is gorgeous - I mean for a Double Tree it's tops.  Have you been to other Double Trees?  The one in Asheville NC is more like a Dairy Museum.  My room is clean and well appointed but the bathroom is small.  The restaurant has no personality but could be the best quesadilla I ever had at a hotel and waitress Ashley was sweet and attentive.  Bar is expensive but it is Augusta.  I would stay here again in a heartbeat and was cheaper then the old school Hampton they are replacing up the road.  Happy I stayed - reviews are harsh considering how nice this place is.  Plus they have Woodford Reserve Double Oak though pricey at $24 for a double. $19 for a normal Woodford double on the rocks. Good stay and very nice staff, they are always concerned about the quality of the experience.  Breakfast buffet was great, fresh and well presented.  Room was better than last time.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel twice and both times we had a great experience. This last time, however, the water in the shower in our suite was really difficult to get the temperature right. The water would come out of the bath faucet and feel perfect and then come out of the shower head ICE COLD!  Other than that our stay was great and the staff is always nice and friendly. More...

I've always been pleased with my stays at Doubletree Hotels, and the Augusta location was no exception. Clean, modern rooms, friendly staff, and of course, a warm cookie at check-in. Not that Augusta is particularly large, but this hotel is centrally located, so it's not a long drive to anywhere you need to be.The bar here is fantastic -- I probably spent as much time there as I did my room! The bartender mixed a great martini, and I'm guessing it's one of the few places you can get a drink late on an Sunday night (hey, it's the South). It was a little pricey; a double Knob Creek set me back almost $20, but darn was it good. The breakfast buffet was above average, with a nice assortment of items. The servers didn't charge us the full price since we were just having some toast and fruit, which really sweet of them. This is definitely going to be my first choice of hotels if I ever have to go to Augusta again. I really loved this hotel. It has been completely renovated, and now has a really nice open area for the atruim lobby, beautiful rooms, a nice staff, a great restaurant, bar, and even an outside patio. The wireless internet is free, there is a brand new fitness center that is nicer than the one I am a member at. Great hotel. More...
