Popped in today with the family for a spot of Sunday lunch. It's a place iv see often but never gave it a go.It's under new management. We went here recently to celebrate a friends birthday, we enjoyed a very nice meal and we were impressed by the friendly staff, the place is under new management and the lady and her daughter who are running it couldn't do enough for us, also the place is spotless, if you can't get a table eat off the floor it's clean enough.

Friendly and relaxing restaurant. I highly recommend the cheese board ( enough for 2 ) and the chocolate orange cheesecake is amazing! ! Since new management have taken over I am impressed with the changes made so far especially the new menu. It takes time to make improvements and try new ideas. A fantastic night at the double barrel for our Crystal wedding celebration. The service was excellent. The food was the best we have ever tasted. There were 20 of us sitting down to a 3 course meal. I could not believe how excellent it was presented and cooked to everyone liking. Rachel is a wonderful hosts and makes sure you are happy with everything. We had the champagne room. It was beautiful decorated with white table cloths and chair covers. I would recommend this nice friendly restaurant to anyone looking for a party, wedding. Went to the double barrel 26/6/19 3pm lovely lady serving great service overall food was fantastic we had fish and chips plus two different meals all was delicious was reluctant to come back after visiting last year when service and food was shocking but glad we did great chef great staff we will be back thankyou
