On several occasions this year, Donna has documented my band Joy on Fire in live performance settings, posed studio shoots and also candid, impromptu shots - the in-between times. I have to say that I am continuously blown away by what she captures through her lens. Donna is beyond gifted in "seeing" inside people and transferring a taste of someone's soul into a captivating image. She is a joy to work with and she made the three of us camera-haters in the band extremely comfortable with the lights and posing and all that stuff that can make people want to run away from the shoot. Donna is a great photographer, has a great attitude, and I and all of us in the band consider her a friend and teammate. She cares SO deeply about the people she's shooting, wants them to be at ease, having fun, enjoying the process as she enjoys the process, and she wants people to be THRILLED with the final prints - and I'm sure they are every time. All of the work I see her post online is beautiful - she's amazing with portraits and kids. I would recommend Donna in a split second for ANY photographic project. More...
