I've been playing guitar for 19 years off and on and had lessons in the past starting with classical guitar lessons when I was at school. I've had lessons with Dimitris for 12-18 months now and find him to be an excellent teacher and can honestly say I have learnt more in that time than the many years before. What Dimitris is great at is giving you a true and practical understanding of the theory which enables you to be a much better guitar player. I have not learned a few chords (and definitely not cords) as the first review suggest but have learned the theory to be able to work out chords for myself. The lessons are well planned and I find the homework is engaging and challenging enough to keep me wanting to play and progress. I find he has excellent communication skills and is very patient in his explanations. He has the technical ability to teach you any style as long as you are willing to put the effort and practice in. Highly Recommended! More...

Dimitris is a welcoming and likeable tutor. He really knows what he is doing, he is patient, and teaches everything from the basics right upto very advanced techniques. I had lessons with him for 18 months and he certainly made me a better guitar player. The person who wrote the first review really does not know what he is talking about. The way that Dimitris teaches you do not need to learn chords parrot fashion. Given a few (quite a few) lessons and some dedication you will be able to come up with your own chord voicings without really having to think about it.

And by the way ladiebottom. You get what you pay for. I assume your English teacher was from the bargain basement!
