I hired Don to shoot my proposal, which was an involved, very detailed and coordinated event. He took time to talk to me and understand the plan and my expectations beforehand. He was on time to the event and successfully captured "the moment" perfectly. He then helped guide us through several posed shots. He was patient and very helpful. He captured the day perfectly and we were completely satisfied.Because of that event, we then hired Don to shoot our wedding. It was relatively short notice, but Don was more than willing to accommodate our wishes and made himself available and again, did a fantastic job.We are completely and totally impressed and satisfied with Don's work. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to work with Julia, but we have no doubt she would only add even more quality to any job they work. After our first two events, we hired Don a third time to shoot our oldest daughter's senior pictures, and he did so with the professionalism and exceptionalism that we've come to expect. Don and Julia are a joy to work with. My husband and I spent a lot of time with these two. We had a couple of meetings and an engagement shoot before our big day. They do a great job making you feel comfortable and they are really fun people. It was so important to us that our photographer be “real” and not all business. These two let YOU get to know THEM. They weren’t only our photographers on our wedding day, but also our friends. Julia was there to re-clip my bustle, constantly fix my veil, hold my phone and face powder, and she even toted around my portable fan to keep me cool (I was getting hot while running around to different spots). Don ran to my husbands aid when he and his groomsmen needed help with their boutineers. Don and Julia’s personal chemistry with one another is inspiring and makes you feel humble and confident when choosing them. I also have to mention that their pricing is FANTASTIC and their work is beautiful and unlike any other. We originally didn’t think we’d need/want a photographer... but Don and Julia instantly reassured us that we chose the right people, without saying a word. Don & Julia we're the photographers My son and daughter-in-law chose for their wedding and they couldn't have chosen a more professional company to capture their special day! !! They both spent time with my son and daughter-in-law to get to know them which I thought was very special and help to capture both of them as individuals!! All of the pictures turned out spectacular, it was so hard to choose which ones to order because they were all so well done. I recently had a shoot with Don to help build my portfolio. Their studio is so fun and versatile. The room we shot in reminded me of Sia's Chandelier video. From the moment I met Don at the coffee shop downstairs I felt 100% comfortable! He spend a lot of time talking with me and getting to know me before the shoot. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Julia yet but they are a team and a great one at that! Don and Julia documented our wedding in July 2016 in Spokane, WA. They are an absolutely incredible couple and both so artistically talented! They complemented each other so well throughout the entire process, from the first time we spoke with them about their story and their style to the day of our wedding. And our wedding photos could not have been more perfect!! Don and Julia documented the perfect mix of artistic photos with traditional shots and we could not be more thrilled. They were on the sidelines throughout the whole day and really let us enjoy all the special moments and so it was not until we say our wedding photos until we realized how much they actually captured. And not only that, they kept us on our wedding timeline! Which we so much appreciated because everything else during the day took so much longer, but Don and Julia always made up the time we were behind without diminishing the quality or quantity of our photos--I don't know how they do it!! I participated in the Space Hero Mission project and had such a blast! I ended up with a fabulous 8x10 portrait and a larger shot of myself in their space suit. The entire experience was really cool. Don and Julia met with me first to help pick out a location for our photo shoot and get to know me beforehand. On the day of, I had so much fun in the suit itself and taking a bunch of neat shots. I first heard about Don and Julia through their Space Hero Mission work. I was star struck with their creativity and really felt that they were doing unique work in Spokane (they photograph people in a rad space suit in unique locations). Based on that first impression I hired Don to photograph an event and he really nailed it. He got the pictures back to me very quickly per my request and he was nice to work with. I appreciated his unique perspective visually and I left the experience thinking I would like to work with him again.Enter: mini-session for my fam. I wanted to get some good commercial quality photos to promote my music and I also wanted to get some couple shots. Don was super flexible throughout the process with all of my rigamarole and requests. For example, I really wanted to have a sunset shoot in a location near my house, so he made that happen. I also was kind of high maintenance about the specific peach color of the sky that I wanted him to make sure to get in the shot...I'm sure photographers hate that kind of stuff... but he was great about it and sure enough the final pics really have that coral sunset magic in them. First off, Don is a great photographer. I've known him now for 4 years. He did Christmas photos for me and was so easy to work with. Don just took my picture for my graduation announcements and again, he was such a pleasure to work with. He let me look at my pictures before even putting them online, which means a lot to me!
