Dog Training made Simple

We have a 5 month old Dachshund who is very nervous around people and started becoming fearful when walking the streets around home i. e. (plants his feet and refuses to move) We contacted Janet when realised we needed help in correcting this behaviour. We attend two puppy training classes a week which he loves going to (whilst still being nervous of other humans) our trainers recommend an APBC dog behaviourist, these recommendations charge £450 for a two hour session and a diagnosis (who has this kind of money when things go wrong with your pet ) wI found Janet from Problem Dog online and read all the positive reviews we contacted her on Friday and we had a good chat about the dog, she was able to meet on the Sunday for a two hour assessment. She is very easy to talk to, understands the animal’s issues and has a very positive attitude on how the behaviour can be changed, which was very reassuring for us!In the assessment we were blown away with Janet’s knowledge and experience, she filled us with confidence after these problems had pushed us to feel so negative about his behaviour. She set a plan for us and discussed it so we fully understood its affect, we saw a difference in his behaviour within an hour, from barking at her and walking round the edge of the room, to her lying on the floor while he ate treats off her hand (he’s never taken treats from a stranger) and she even stroked him! You could see his eyes change in the session from nervous and fearful to completely relaxed and interested. We couldn’t recommend Janet enough, not only did she help us see a way forward everything made sense and no gimmicks! Her cost for the session was far far far more competitive than other dog behaviourists and she comes with years of actual experience and tried and tested methods. We are over the moon with the plan and can see an improvement in the dog already. Thank you Janet for your time and help!! All the best Ozzy and family More...
