Q&As

Living with a dog that is out of control can wreak havoc on the entire family. What should be a wonderful and fun addition to the household ends up causing stress, arguments and a poor quality of life for everyone concerned. I love connecting with people and showing them that, with a few tips, things can improve dramatically and their dog can become a much loved part of the family.

I love working on my own, making my own rules, being my own boss and the flexibility it affords me.

I know the joy of sharing life with animals, and it genuinely makes me sad to see the numbers of dogs surrendered for issues that could have been fixed/managed with the right tips. I am passionate about animal welfare, I am good at what I do and most importantly my clients see results. I have worked with people who were one step away from getting rid of their dog, who are now enjoying life with their pups.

Yes, I definitely can and it's mostly what I've been doing since Covid hit. Zoom is a great way to still meet face to face, I have the same opportunities to offer advice and step by step tips as I would in person. When a demonstration of how to execute a specific cue is needed for example, I have used my dog Jack to show my clients, and I've also guided them using their own dog, just as I would in person.

Until recently my clients have all been via Zoom, but the few in person visits I've done have taken place outside in their garden or a local park. If circumstances mean I need to enter the client's home, I ensure both of us are wearing masks, and social distancing when possible.

Services

I help you:

Teach your dog: sit, stay, come, drop it and leave it.

Create a stronger bond with the "look at me" command, and enjoy your outings by teaching leash walking.

Understand why your dog is barking...a lot, and what to do about it.

Prevent your dog crying, whining or destroying the house when you're out with these tips for avoiding separation anxiety.

Offer tips on stopping your dog from barking at people and dogs who walk by.

Help you understand why your dog seems aggressive or anxious, and offer ways to manage or possibly eliminate that behaviour.

Create a daily schedule or routine so your dog, and everyone else who lives with you knows what happens when.

Socialize your dog to live calmly in our world. It's super important to help get them used to people, places, sights and sounds so he doesn't grow into a fearful dog.

This is a chance to chat about your concerns and any issues you'd like advice dealing with, and for me to let you know how I can help.

There's absolutely no obligation, so why not get in touch and book your free 15 minute consultation.
