Cannot recommend Laura and Penel at Dog Comm highly enoughly, they are not only excellent trainers and behaviourists but also offer unlimited support and have a wealth of knowledge and information. Having tried numerous trainers before going to Dog Comm I had all but given up hope especially when I had been told my dog was untrainable and should be PTS but with their help both I any my reactive dog have come a long way. My dog has been supported by the experienced and highly qualified behaviourists at Dog Communication for the last 12 months. They are incredibly friendly and patient, taking great care to fully assess the particular challenges you and your dog face in order to offer the right programme. We are now seeing a lot of great progress AND I have learned loads and become more confident. We love the totally secure field for our regular training sessions and the amazing workshops they often hold. Best of all they advocate totally force free positive training methods. I consider myself extremely lucky to have found Dog Comm. Laura and Penel are extremely experienced and qualified behaviourists and trainers; they take the time to get to know your dog individually and create a personalised plan for them, whether that includes one to one sessions or group classes. They understand what having a reactive dog is like and give you tools to be able to work in a positive, constructive way with your dog so that your and your dog's lives are improved. In their classes for young dogs and puppies they give a lot of thought to the skills these dogs will need (which don't include just going mad with other puppies!) to be able to interact calmly and safely with other dogs and people. They also run regular workshops including scent work, Tellington TTouch, dog communication and positive handling, all of which help to improve your dog's wellbeing and your relationship with your dog. Best behaviourists in my opinion! Having a reactive dog is difficult enough but to then be turned away and rejected by so many other trainers / behaviourists because of my dogs breed was both frustrating and depressing. Luckily at Dog Comm they welcomed me and have helped tremendously. Falcor has been transformed from a very anxious, fearful, reactive dog to a more confident, sociable dog. Dog Comm have a lovely outdoor venue. The open space is secluded and away from distractions adding to a relaxed atmosphere. All training is totally positive, reward based with absolutely no pressure. I've taken all of my dogs to see Laura and Penel at Dog Communication. Two of my dogs were reactive and through their help, advice and compassionate care, I was able to work through a programme of rehabilitation that turned things around.
