We wanted some help in training our 8 month old puppy who pulled when on a lead and was pretty disobedient when out of the house, read some previous reviews of Ewans and so glad we decided to get his help. After some observation of how we usually go for our walks, he provided clear and simple instructions on how to rectify the unwanted behaviour. We're current a few days out and we can already see the difference and I know as we continue with the new training we'll get great results.He also gave us some great tips for inside the house too like feeding training and over excitement when someone's at the door.Overall a lovely guy and great trainer, wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for help. I used Anna recently whilst we went away to look after my cat Twinkle, usually I rely on family or neighbours so this was a first for me but definitely won’t be a last! She visited beforehand to have a chat and meet us and Twinkle, kept me informed whilst I was away via text. She also fed and watered my parrot! Such a lovely lady who provides a fantastic service. Just out of our first session with Ewan, and our boxer puppy already is transformed—we are too. In an hour we learned so much and were able to: understand the mistakes we were making that induced bad behaviour, walk completely relaxed with almost no pulling on the lead, enter and leave the house or invite strangers in with no fuss, covered how to feed, crate train and toilet train Guzman properly. I regularly babysit my daughter's dog, & booked Ewan in desparation a few weeks ago to help with sudden uncharacteristic unexplained aggression on our walks ( Mom& Dad on first holiday abroad! ). Behaviour was totally out of character and I simply didn't know what to do.Ewan was brilliant with her, she totally loved him, had the best walk ever with lots of interactive training with other dogs too. So did I ! I learned so much in one short afternoon about how to behave as the 'adult' on a walk. Euan also gave lots of excellent advice on how to behave generally to make her feel,safe,secure & to recognise me as the pack leader while I had her on my own all week. We have since learned that the new aggressive bevahiour was a combination of a very painful ear infection, allergies, & teenage hormones. Ewan had a calm presence and obviously knows a thing or two about dogs. He gave me great advice and teaching methods, some of which I already knew but reminded me of the importance of consistency and to do the methods even if they can be a bit tedious (this is my problem, not the dogs! ). My dog is fine in most situations other than when she meets other dogs (as she was once attacked), we went to the park and encountered a few dogs and she was very well behaved. Had our first session yesterday - very pleased. We have two dogs. In our first session we concentrated on the youngest, a 1. 5y cockapoo, who is a pretty nervous dog. Loads of great tips, things that we did not even realise we were doing wrong and some we did! Very good results with knocking on door and barking issue, also super and surprising result with an unplanned face-to-face cat meeting, as well as some pleasing other dog interaction! I have two dogs, one is a terrible puller and the other is a very reactive barker when on the lead. We took the puller out first and within 10 minutes Ewan had me walking the dog to heal. We went back to get the other more reactive dog. Within 10 seconds of being outside we encountered a squirrel and then another dog. Ewan made the dog totally calm and unresponsive to the distraction, it was very impressive. Further on our walk we came across a cat laying on the path. Normally this would cause a terrible scene where both my dogs would be barking and lunging and even fighting. But they both remained totally calm and the most reactive dog didn't even pay the cat any attention. It was remarkable. If you are thinking about getting a dog trainer but worried that it is too expensive, it really isn't. Ewan' methods are effective and when I think all of the times i've gotten home completely stressed and with tears in my eyes because of my badly behaved dogs, it's money very well spent. More...

Ewan was brilliant, my dog responded to him immediately, and became noticeable calmer during the sessions. We worked on lead work, how he responds to other dogs, and how to deal with him getting excited at home when there are guests. He was able to point out where I was going wrong, and give me a solid base from which to work from - while this will be ongoing I can already see the difference after a week. More...

Euan has just spent an hour with me and my dog Rosie. Euan immediately recognised the problem and has already taught me a few simple tips to assert my role as pack leader. Loving and trustworthy are just two ways to describe these animal lovers. Ewan was great and helped us a lot with our dog Ozzy! Our dog had an aggression problem with other dogs but with Ewan's help he taught us how to control our dog and how to make him behave well around dogs as well as help us know how to handle him. Ewan is really knowledgeable, He has helped Train my Dog Mason with issues relating to aggression towards other dogs and basic day to day commands and control. Because of the worry towards meeting other dogs, I have found walking him very unsettling and also unenjoyable. Everything Ewan has told me has worked. We have a two and a half-year-old male Cockapoo who had been attacked by one particular French Bulldog on a number of occasions and as a result had developed fear aggression towards all Bulldogs and large male dogs. We have struggled over the past 6 months with increasing difficulty to walk our dog on the park due to this behaviour, and within two sessions Ewan has helped get us to the point where he can walk alongside dogs that he previously did not like at all. Heather and Anna-Marie are truly special. They have shown such care to my dogs. My Doug can be a troublesome with other dogs and the patience and care that Heather shows in walking him is so fantastic. We are so lucky to have them. After trying unsuccessfully for weeks to train my very energetic French bulldog how to stop pulling the lead when walking, I contacted Ewan for help. We took my doggy round the block for few times and to the park and I can tell that in the moment we started walking I already felt the difference and he behaved very well. I had Ewan come and work with my dog who has dominantly taken the leadership role in my household, without us realising. Ewan gave great advice on how to work with my dog and how to train rules and boundaries to the dog. Amazingly my dog is responding well to the training and advice given. There is still a long way to go but so far, it has certainly been a positive start. I will definitely be contacting Ewan for more consistent sessions for my mix Jack Russel Chihuahua. Ewan is a amazing - the advice he has given us in settling in and house training a very nervous and scared rescue (who'd been starved and made to live in an outdoor loo and obviously never house trained) has been life changing. We've seen huge difference in less than a week - just from an hour session. We've nearly got her house trained already and she has stopped being so hysterical at meal times and less scared when meeting new dogs. We will be getting him back for further sessions for more training teaching her to sit, lie down, recall etc. etc. without a doubt. His advice has been amazing - we've followed it to the letter and could see changes literally same day. For £40 an hour I cannot recommend Ewan enough. This was the first time I have left my cats with anyone other than family and I have to say Anna and Heather were absolutely fabulous. I had regular updates and had no need to worry at all. Heather and Anna have looked after our collection of pets for over tens years. They always keep in touch with regular updates to put our mind at rest whilst we are on holiday. They love our pets and do the little things like leaving the radio on for our cats. The house is tidier than when we left it and there is fresh milk and bread to meet us on our return.
