I only stopped in for drinks after a concert at Volvo stadium but really enjoyed this place more than I thought. I had no idea there was this cool outdoor area with yard games and spots to hang outside. I haven't tried the food and would like to see more, but this is definitely on my radar now. Okay, so we waited about three months to go back after the bad experience in August.  We've found the key to this place is who your server is.  If it's Roscoe or Skylar, you'll have a great experience with good food.  Fortunately, both were there during this visit. This restaurant is in the same building as one of our offices so it's really convenient and offers a decent lunch menu. I was in my healthy zone today and decided to go with the roasted cauliflower and shrimp salad. It was truly a pretty refreshing, simplistic and unique salad offering that I enjoyed. It's cauliflower so there really wasn't a ton of WOW , which is why the review is only 4 stars. We got married at Dockery's in September and the entire process from the food tasting, to the event rental, to the night of the event was seamless. Nadia and the entire team at Dockery's were amazing to work with, the food was delicious, and the hospitality throughout everything was second to none. My Husband and I just had our wedding here this past weekend and it was AMAZING! We are still receiving compliments from our guests on the food, service and venue. Hands down one of the best meals we’ve had out in quite awhile! Our table of 6 tried about 8-9 dishes there tonight and Everything was delicious! !!! After my visit tonight I have to up my review. We had a great dinner tonight. While service was great, the food was amazing. We had the beat salad to start with and brisket for dinner. So, we eat here a few times a month.  Usually leaving a 40% tip in appreciation of people who work weekends. Usually, service is very good. Actually, excellent.  Today, however, was a disaster.  We entered at about 440pm and were seated about 4 booths back from the front.  In the booth just before ours was a single guy.  A waitress was talking to him.  After we sat down, she kept talking...and talking....and talking....and talking.  Finally, I asked the hostess who seated us if we could have a waitress assigned to our table.  She said 'there's your waitress'...pointing to the waitress at the next table who kept talking.....and talking.....and talking.....to the single guy.She was a walking travel guide on what to do in the Charleston area. Well, actually, not so much walking but a standing, stationary and constantly talking travel guide. When she finally left his booth, she ignored us and walked back to the bar area.  We then left.  As we were leaving, the guy she was talking to looked over at me, smiled and rolled his eyes. Maybe he doesn't consider someone who doesn't do their job a 'good catch'.I'll take you back to a five as I think your restaurant is much better than this one inconsiderate server.  I needed to get your attention as this was probably as incompetent of a server as I've ever seen.  We'll be back.  But not anytime soon as we don't want to run into this server again. Only been here once but love how it is so close to our house! Daniel island is an up and coming area so there isn't much around but, Dockery's is a very fun place to hang out.  It's a brewery/restaurant with good beer but also has some fun cocktails.  The only complaint I have is that their food is a little pricey, but hey we are in Charleston right?  But other then that no complaints, they always have something going on and have a really nice outdoor patio with a good happy hours (in and outside) and live music! Great outside area!!  When up for happy hour with a few friends and brought my kids along.  Lots of stuff todo for the kids .  Had a cpl of IPA, both were very tasty.  Bartender was very nice and engaging.  Ordered the pretzel and ham sliders, that wasn't the name of the sliders but that's what we are going with.  Both were good and a good portion for sharing. I'm a little reluctant to give this place 4 stars from my experience but I'm hopeful that this place will grow into a staple on Daniel Island. I went for brunch with my mom and the service was less then friendly which I found disappointing as someone who has over 15 years in the service industry (all from hostess to bartender) ...you cant help but notice how a place runs. The hostess sat in a pretty full section which I didnt mind so much (cause you can only do so much about crying babies and that's not the fault of the establishment lol) I arrived before my mom and she asked if we could be moved outside. She followed the hostess and I followed them. On the way outside a server was holding the door and mentioned "this is for staff only". Then why did your hostess escort us through that door !?!! It was very offputting. Your hostess led us through that door and now your "correcting" a customer I would have never said something like under my breathe as a customer walked by. Now I kept this to myself but I told my mom what happened and she complained to the hostess that the server was rude. Now keep in mind I've been a server so I'm like "ok less tip no problem" which for me means under 25% lol cause I'm an over tipper (respect to my service industry peeps) and the server ended up coming back and apologized. Then we ordered shrimp and grits which our server forgot about so we got them at the end of the meal after we were full from the buffet so my mom boxed it up to eat later (I tried a bite though, SO SAVORY). So the SERVICE needs to step up a bit. But I get it, it's a relatively new establishment. Gotta work the kinks out.  The food and drinks were phenomenal though which is why I gave this place 4 stars I think if the service steps it up it'll be a 5 star establishment and I hope it sticks around for a long time! We went to Dockery's brunch for the first time on Sunday. What started as an impromptu event to spend some time with our son who had a rare day off turned into a culinary feast. We'll definitely be going again soon! The buffet offered something for everyone, grilled veggies,salad, yogurt and fruit for the healthy minded as well as bacon, sausage, and a fresh carving station with delicious brisket for the Carnivores in addition to hash, eggs and an amazing ricotta quiche. My personal favorite was the shrimp and grits which were also part of the brunch buffet but were made to order to ensure the shrimp were cooked to perfection which they were! I tried the spring beer flight and the chicken bites appetizer. Loved the food and the beer! I decided on the flight as this was my first time here and wanted to get a good taste for everything. My only complaint was that we were there early on a Tuesday sitting at the bar and the bartender basically ignored me the whole time and answered to my boyfriends requests instead. When my family lived on DI, this was the place we would always go. The food here is always stellar and filling. Our favorites are the jumbo pretzel, served with spicy mustard and delicious creamy beer cheese. The poutine is also always a good move. The Po Boys are crispy and flavorful, served in the most buttery toasted buns. The Smash burger (which I should note is huge and shared between my dad and I with an app it was just enough food) is juicy, sweet and savory, and one of my favorite burgers I've had. The space itself is really nice, with a huge outdoor area and lots of seating inside. We've always had good service and good food, and now we just wish it was closer to us in Mount Pleasant! More...
