Seriously the best bbq around. The turkey is amazingly tender and juicy. The monster beans have tons of meat. Pulled pork is excellent—very few fatty pieces, just all tender perfectly smoked meat. No fries, but the chips are good!

The food was AMAZING! The service was phenomenal, the owner stoped by to talk. The meat was truly smoked and tasted great and didn't need any sauce. The sauce was good too. I had the sausage which was crispy and juicy, the brisket was flavorful and the rib tips were juicy. The corn is to die for. The potato salad was shredded potatoes which added an interesting twist that was very tasty. The bean are a game changer. I will definitely be back again! More...

Pretty tasty ribs!  They really don't need sauce but the sauce made it even better.  The sides are ok, nothing to write home about although the corn was tasty.  I was a little surprised at the plastic utensils, lack of glassware and choices considering the price, but oh, the ribs were good! My husband wanted this for Father's Day and I was sad to see they were closed and sold out, at 6:30pm. So I tried again on Monday but I totally forgot they are closed on Mondays. ..which the sign clearly stated. Duh! Now, 3rd times a charm. We went tonight and the food was worth it! Brisket, pulled pork, street corn, monster beans and the cornbread!!! Yum!! Plus it was really nice that they had everything you could need, out and available so I didn't have to bother the staff. Loved the nachos... it's huge enough for 2-3 people to share as their main meal. The only things I would say if I was being really picky is I would prefer different chips. They weren't as thick enough or tasty enough for the toppings.. we also got the brisket tacos on taco Tuesday but the nachos definitely outshined the tacos as I am not a huge fan of corn tortillas. I'm always encouraged when BBQ is served dry (without sauce). It says the pitmaster is confident the quality of their smoked meat won't be enhanced by sauce. Doc Watson's lets you decide whether you want to add a sweet or spicy sauce after your entree is served, but you won't need it. This meat stands in its own. I chose the 4-meat platter: pulled pork, brisket, ribs, and sausage. It was a carnivore's delight. No veggies, sides, or rabbit food get in the way of excellent smoked meat. I liked the ribs and the sausage the best. Five baby back ribs were smoked with a subtle dry rub. The sausage had a nice pepper "kick" without searing taste buds. The brisket slices were tender. The outside edges were sealed with a heavy rub, adding a gritty, peppery taste to those pieces of meat. I found the pulled pork a bit bland. It was smoky but all inside meat. Besides needing more seasoning it lacked the different flavors from tender inside meat, crunchy outside edges, and occasional juicy fat. Food was great!  I got their sampler platter and my wife got their ribs.  The ribs were great.  I enjoyed most of the meat sans sauce and the sauce that I did try on the pulled pork was good and spicy sweet.  Got a sample of their smoked turkey and was pleased with the smoky and juicy texture.  The ribs were as we like them.  Not fall off the bone, but tender and not "mush"  the same could be said for the pulled pork.  Again, all these were wonderfully seasoned and we ate the ribs with no sauce, and the pork was textured and flavorful.  The brisket was good.  I don't like a lot of fat on my brisket, but I don't like a dry tough piece of beef so I was happy with the tender texture of the brisket and the moist yet not fatty flavor.  They have some daily specials that I plan on trying when I swing back there for lunch one of these days. I was just in for the first time today and I tried the pulled pork and a hot link it was phenomenal spot on to true texas bbq I go to central TX all the time and this is the first I've found that's anything comparable to it. The prices are good where they are for good bbq! The only thing I would suggest is adding an option for a two or three meat plate with sides. Have been trying to try this place for months.Yesterday was my first visit the family and I ordered kind of a sampling of everything. i am now wondering what was wrong of me to wait so long. This is a must try place for everyone and I guarantee you will be back real soon. The service is fantastic so friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. Never in a million years would I have thought I would have spent St. Patrick's Day at a bbq joint.

After trying to go to some of the usual haunts for corned beef and cabbage, and finding they all had 2hr waits, I recalled a post a friend of mine made earlier in the day, that they were having CB&C here. So, I called ahead after learning that this place closes when it's gone, and was happy to hear they had some left.

Now let's get one thing straight, I LOVE corned beef. My mom has made it special for me for 36 years, bless her soul. The thought of a smoked vs boiled one was just blasphemous. Well, sorry, mom, but things have changed.

The minute you walk in the door here, you're greeted by the smell of amazing bbq, or as my daughter called it "Christmas". The staff helped us rookies decide what to order, but I already had one thing on my mind. So we ordered the corned beef, pulled pork sandwiches, Mac n cheese, and street corn. Wow, portions are HUGE here, and I knew I should have ordered only one sandwich for my kids to split. Well I was wrong. They devoured it all, and neither if them wanted any sauce! And the corned beef? From the beef to the potatoes and even the cabbage, all were cooked perfectly. Let me say, smoked will be the only way I ever have corned beef from now on, and that will be from Doc Watson's! The only thing missing were the carrots, but I'll let that slide.

Today I had the pork chop.... first of all, as it comes out to your table there should be angelic music playing. This thing is amazing to the eye. The color is gorgeous and the grill marks are perfect.
After I took pictures and sent them to jealous friends, I cut into this pound of pork perfection. It was juicy, you could see the smoke ring, it was impressive.
As far as the taste, well, I wanted another. Simple as that.
Had the beans and potato salad, the wife had a pulled pork sandwich. Needless to say we made it all go away.
We will be back again. The salmon and prime rib are on my wish list.

Quick, tasty and filling...

If you crave a bit of smoke then Doc has what ails you!!! His cure will delight your palate and end any tummy rumbling you have.

The pickled red onions were an unexpected treat and the pickle chips were fantastic. His smoked turkey is moist and tender. The brisket had a great smoke ring and the pulled pork was spot on.
