How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Check if planning permission will be required required, and no local restrictions are in place.
A good starting point would be to check the condition and integrity of the floor walls and ceiling.
Check that the floor space of the the unit is adequate for your purpose.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
Stage 1 Strip out the unit, to a shell, remove existing garage door.
Stage 2 Install any windows , and access doors. make the unit wind and watertight.
Stage 3 Lay out and erect any planned partition walls, doorways etc.
Stage 4 Strap out the walls with timber, ready to receive wall boards.
Stage 5 Run in any required wiring and lay plumbing pipes. Place in the insulation.
Stage 6 Fit all wall coverings , install sockets, switches etc. fit all doors.
Stage 7 Plaster walls and decorate to a finish.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Take a measurement from the bottom of the ridge timber to the top of the ceiling joist; the useable part of the roof should be greater than 2.2m.

What inspired you to start your own business?
While working for others, I had felt for some time that I had something more to give, and that the knowledge and skills I had attained since my apprenticeship began could be put to better use. I was always ambitious and knew that someday I would start my own company, I began to gather a a strong team around meand when the opportunity arose I did not hesitate. Since then we have grown from strength to strength and I am confident that it was the right decision.
