About

When you're looking for a DJ, you're not just looking for "music".

You want a professional who can not only play music, but someone who can bring your event vision to life.

Someone who listens. Someone professional...punctual, and performs sober.

Q&As

Two things: Knowing your audience and watching their reaction. I ask all my clients what type of music they like prior to the event. Then I ask what type they'd like for the crowd. Using that info, I create a playlist twice as long, plus a DO NOT PLAY list. But I always take requests.

So, during my last wedding, I noticed people were coming off the floor, so I changed the genre of music. Plus, there are some songs that EVERYONE responds to. So I played "Shout" and everyone turned around and kept doing what the song said. Then, we kept the energy going and played some line dances since everyone was on the floor already, and we kept it going for the next 45 minutes and women were taking their shoes off to keep dancing. :)

It's all about knowing what people like, what songs they want to hear, what popular songs keep people dancing, and mixing it all so it all seems flawless. Oh, and no profanity.

My style is completely unconventional. Hence the name. I love all genres of music. House, Techno, Hip hop, R&B, Rock, classic Rock, country, you name it. One of my demos has David Bowie, Bruno Mars, Jaden Smith, C&C Music Factory, Prep, and Florida Georgia Line all mixed together.

However, I know some people like one particular genre. So if they request it, I stay there the entire time.

I never play for me...I always play for my audience and their desires.

THE PEOPLE. I'm telling you -- there's nothing as great as seeing people get outside of themselves, have fun, and be free. I love entertaining and interacting with the crowd and making people happy. There's a ton of negative things in this world, but good music often makes people feel good. So, I love being in the "people feel good" business.

When I started DJing in the area, people kept asking me did I do wedding, kid parties, etc. So, to make it legit, I started my own business doing it. It's been a blast ever since. Plus, we live in a beautiful area...hundreds of acres of beachfront property and making tourists who have private parties every year show up weekly. It's a great opportunity to network with people, interact with people, and enjoy this beautiful area we live in!

Simple. I do my very best to over-deliver. I show up early, leave late, and help where I can. With weddings, I help set up the venue. Plus, I don't over-charge for items that should be included. I don't charge for fuel, mileage, up-lighting and the like. When you get me to DJ an event for you, you can rest assured I'll be your emcee, people/cat-herder, announcer, musician, lighting technician, and the guy who will call you a cab if needed.
