Nothing but wonderful things to say about A LOVELY PHOTO and Shawnee. The girl has some serious talent behind the camera, and she captured moments that we will forever cherish from our wedding day. I am not quite sure HOW she got some of the crazy shots she did, as she seriously just fit right in with our guests...I didn't even know she was snapping those shots sometimes! Shawnee is the absolute best! Not only is she professional and easy to work with, she has a wonderful personality and is super sweet. And her photographs are beautiful!! She even had to deal with some unexpected hiccups (not related to her) and handled them without having to involve us. Shawnee was SO amazing at capturing our big day!
She has a such a sweet and easy-going personality. We immediately felt comfortable in front of her camera. She doesn't try to force any poses or emotions on you - instead she really takes the time to get to know you and your partner. I think this is what makes her photos so special!
Our wedding took place at our beach house and there were a lot of different areas for the guests to mingle - the beach, different decks, the pool area, the reception area, etc. Somehow Shawnee managed to be at every spot at the perfect time. She captured moments that my husband and I never even knew happened!
We were also impressed with the quality of lighting in the photos. We had some crazy weather during the event which brought bright sun, a rainstorm, crazy clouds, low lighting, etc, etc. and her photos came out seamless. She shoots quickly and with ease.
We would hire Shawnee again in a heartbeat. The day went by so fast but our images bring it all back! We will cherish them forever. More...

guh. i just... if you want a photographer who is awesome, who is friendly and funny and chill and not into Stereotypical Wedding Pictures™, someone who gets you and all your weird nerdy introvert quirks, you want Shawnee.

our photos are so pretty - from our engagement photos on what was until that point the hottest, muggiest day of the year in DC, to our wedding photos on a crisp October afternoon. i can't stop looking at them.
