We worked with Michael, who was unavailable during our event date, who introduced us to Aaron who was our DJ for our event. Our families come from very mixed backgrounds (Mexican-American and Midwestern) and Aaron did a fantastic job somehow finding a way to mesh all of the diverse music together. Michael’s disc jockeying services were suitable for our vision of the wedding and crowd. We wanted mostly country music played during the reception and Michael was able to easily provide some classic and modern tunes. While the music could have been a little quieter during non-dancing times, the only true outlier was the music being too loud when making announcements which didn’t always allow for our guests to hear. We contracted with Michael for our outdoor wedding and were incredibly happy with the service he provided.
Michael showed up with plenty of time on the day of, and did a great job with the sound for the ceremony, even adapting when he had to move his setup.
But where Michael really shined was in the music during our cocktail hour, dinner, and the party. He had a great feel for the flow of the evening, and played a fun selection of music that still allowed people to talk and catch up, before moving into dance music that made everyone happy. He was easy to work with and flexible in all our questions and suggestions.

To start, my husband and I are HUGE music lovers. We love all types of music and honestly can be a bit picky about which artists we envisioned playing at our wedding. Michael was totally cool with us making a playlist ahead of time so he could get a feel for our taste. We also had an outside ceremony - Michael went above and beyond to get us outside speakers so we could have all the music we wanted for our ceremony and what we called a "pre-ceremony" time that had our guests sitting in the forest listening to a few of our favorite ethereal tunes. What a phenomenal DJ, during Beyonce’s “All the single ladies” at my friends wedding when she told all the single ladies to put their hands up he switched it to that one rap song that yells “And they stay there, and they stay there” then got on the mic and told all the single men to find a single lady then proceeded to play a nice slow R’n’b song then ended the dance with “Remix to Ignition by R.
