What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Being able to read the vibe of the room is key to keeping the party going. It isn't always about playing what the DJ wants, but more about what will fuel the crowd. This comes from experience developing a library of music and a keen awareness of the audience at any given event, and being able to pivot quickly to keep people dancing.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
My go-to style is rooted in deep house music with a funky flare, but I've gained a lot of influence in hip-hop, pop, and electronic music in my experiences as a DJ and during my education at Scratch DJ Academy.
What do you love most about your job?
I am absolutely passionate about connecting people through music. At any event or venue, there are people of different ages, backgrounds, and interests - but if I can create a vibe that joins them all together, then I'm doing my job and I love it.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit, a love for music, and a knack for performing. DJing just made sense as a combination that brought all my loves together.
