I called about 4 web companies in the Mclean/Fairfax area to get quotes on building our new legal website. They were somewhere in the middle of the quotes the design firms were sending me on pricing. I chose Direction because they really listened. They asked questions, seemed genuinely interested, and brought up potential issues with a few of my ideas. What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my first online business when I was nine years old, purchasing yard sale items and selling them on eBay for a profit. Making about $100/month on eBay at nine years old, I thought I was a king. My desire for growing an internet business stuck with me since then. After realizing college was a bit out of my price range, I joined the Army to pay for a college degree so I could pursue my passion in Business. During my time in the Army, I learned more than I ever imagined possible, including two middle-eastern languages. I also traveled twice to Afghanistan and once to Iraq.
Towards the end of my contract, I was left with a choice – pursue my lifelong passion, or continue my career in the government. I chose to build a web design & digital marketing agency. The Army had taught me everything I needed to build a company; from leadership and motivation to a mind that was instilled with a non-stop work ethic and the will to succeed in every mission– I knew failing wasn’t an option.
Fast forward almost three years later; Direction, Inc. has built a world-class team of search engine optimization experts, incredibly talented and artistic designers and creative marketers with one goal in mind: To deliver results for our clients that break digital marketing industry records.
