Everything was excellent. I remember a little pain during the procedure but Dr. Yu instructed the nurse to give me more anesthetic and everything was fine. Recovery was excellent, no issues. Prep instructions were very good, but I do have some suggested feedback that I received from friends that really helped: 1) Apply vaseline or aquafor after every single bowel movement to prevent chafing and any burning pain on the many subsequent bowel movements, and 2) This one's for the guys....after taking Suprep/laxative be on the safe side and sit down on the toilet every time you go to the bathroom even if you think you only have to urinate...this prevents any mishaps if you're standing up when you "think" you only have to pee. What can I say? Probably the easiest experience I've had my whole life when it comes to a medical issue. Making an appointment was easy, changing appointments last minute wasn't a problem either. I was in and out of my procedure with out a hitch and haven't had any complications. Just waiting for my results which I'm sure will arrive quicker then expected. I went to Hoag for a colonoscopy. Â The prep was, of course, no fun, but Hoag in Irvine is a fine hospital with great staff. Â The facility is state-of-the art.
