I was very pleased with the equipment and the customer-relations experience. I rented several lenses over the course of a few months, including the the Nikon 24-70, Nikon 70-200 and the "Perspective Control"lens for architecture. All came quickly in Pelican-style cases and functioned flawlessly. More importantly, I got personal service from the group that you just don't often get nowadays. They foresaw my needs, contacted me, and worked to give me everything I needed as quickly as possible. If you're looking at rental rates from local places, I paid less for month-long rentals than some local places would charge me for a week. Even factoring in delivery time, there is no cost-comparison wherein LensLockers doesn't win. Next time I need to rent, this is where I'll be. VERY Pleased. More...

I have rented lenses for years but never a body. I really wanted to try the Canon 5D Mark IV before making such a large purchase and I was beyond thrilled with LensLockers! The rental process was easy, the camera came packed in a pelican case and in perfect condition. The addition of a memory card and card reader was a welcome surprise. I recently did a month long body rental and it went flawlessly. To be honest I was nervous as it seemed too good to be true. I’m a professional photographer and am used to a certain price point for gear rentals so when I saw a price at roughly HALF the competition I hesitated. I would definitely recommend LensLockers to any photographer looking to borrow some lenses within the Boston area. I've used other local lens rental shops around the city and I can definitely say that LensLockers is by far the best. They have a great selection for Nikon, Canon, and Sony users. I rented a Canon 100-400mm lens for a weekend trip I recently took. I had a few concerns because their price was so reasonable, but I couldn't have been happier with the service and ease of renting. The staff at lens locker made my rental experience both simple and fast. I needed some stuff last minute for a important event and didn't have a lot of time to spare to pick it up and get to the event. After booking online I pretty much walked in, they handed me my rental, and I walked out. That was about it. Took all of 2 minutes and I was on my way to my client. I rented a Canon Mark IV and a 14mm prime for a shoot I did back in January and I can't say enough how great the folks were at Lenslockers. From the point of first contact to the follow-up afterward, they went above and beyond what I'd expect. And to be honest, I went into the experience thinking that renting a camera, etc. would be like renting a car: that the rental would find all kinds of extra ways to get more money from me. My experience couldn't've been further from the truth. They understood I was on a budget and they helped me find creative ways to keep my costs low. I called a few days before picking up a cineslider with a few questions, and he went ahead and sent me a few close up photos of the threaded holes for the tripod heads so I knew exactly what I was picking up. Wow. Shortly before my rental, I contacted Dylan to make sure everything was in line, and he went above and beyond. I was unable to be at home to sign for the delivery, so he (without me asking him to) went out of his way to find the closest shipping center where I could pick it up after work. I rented the Canon 100-400L IS II lens, and it came shipped in a VERY rugged, heavily padded case (unlike the cardboard box and bubble wrap that another large rental company ships in.) The lens was pristine with a B+W UV filter installed on it. It also had the tripod collar and lens shade. I can't find ANYTHING to complain about. They even got it to me a day early! The $95 I spent for TWO WEEKS was a bargain, and it made my trip to Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Salt Lake and Bonneville so much more fun. The lens performed flawlessly. Awesome quality gear for a great price! I got the LensLockers Unlimited DSLR & Lens plan and got a great deal for a month's use of any of their gear! I decided to start with the Canon C100Mk2 and a Canon 50mm f1.2, both of which will be perfect for my documentary film needs. Incredible quality gear, service, and the Lenslockers guys couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. I checked out their 5DS R body and L series 135 mm lens yesterday for a studio shoot in their space, capturing twenty paintings by Zuni Indian artists we're working on a project in the Grand Canyon. First of all, their space was magnificent for a controlled shoot like this, complete with a professional product table and Einstein strobe lights. It's a converted dance studio so there's plenty of room to work, and it's both elegant and efficient. We were set up in minutes and capturing beautiful photos. The 5DS R allowed me to shoot at 50 megapixels, especially important because we'll be using these images to create an animation and we need as much resolution as possible. The 135 gave a crisp, clean image, and the Einstein flash controller made setup quick and easy. Having access to that specific combo really upped the quality bar for this specific shoot, an advantage to being able to swap lenses and bodies anytime. They ran me through everything and even helped set up camera and lights, calibrating the flash exposure since I hadn't worked with those strobes before. They had a full Lightroom editing suite set up in the back for reviewing and editing images in real time, very helpful to check focus and detail at high resolution.
