Julie truly understands dogs and what they need to thrive. I took my 5 month old German Shepherd through her 5 week Foundations Training and the difference in him has been tremendous. The socialization he received with other dogs has proven invaluable. His confidence around dogs continues to grow as well as his overall obedience. We’ve been back for a couple of additional visits and my dog absolutely loves it. All of her dogs are rock solid and great to be around whether it’s your dog or yourself. I highly recommend Developing Dogs!! More...

Julie, is great. I really appreciate how patient she was with me and my Lolli. Julie is extremely knowledgeable in dog training and behavioral cues. She is very calm and gentle towards the dogs and firm with the parents when needed. Did the group training and can't wait to learn more from her. More...

I've owned dogs most of my life. Never had any issue really. I just let them "be dogs." However, last year my daughter brought home a young male Bully Boxer, named him Leo. He had gotten out during a flash thunderstorm, had a leash wrapped around his neck, and was malnourished by about 20 pounds. I already had a large male Lab/Pit mix, Scooby and smaller Dobie mix, Dakota. Things seemed to go well, the first few weeks. Leo had put on some weight, and I hadn't any issues with the dogs being around each other, all the time. Then Leo and Scooby got in a fight over a treat. I broke the fight up, Leo required a vet visit. Things seemed to start to mellow, then they really went at it one day. At that vet visit, again with Leo... the vet said they most likely wouldn't ever get along. He only seen rare cases of success. I asked one of the vet techs, if they knew of anyone, and was referred to Julie. She came over for an in home evaluation, and you could tell immediately she had a connection with dogs. All 3 of them, recognized it and gave her their attention. I arranged for several personal training sessions. Leo adapted well, and I decided to enroll him in one of Julie's classes, helping dogs socialize with other dogs. Learning how to be in the presence of other dogs without going bonkers, learning how to greet other dogs. Learning how to handle the different stimuli in their worlds. You truly learn how to communicate with your dogs, through the training. You learn how to read them, and can often predict their behavior with ample opportunity to react, keep the situation under control. You learn how to develop a relationship with your dogs, that's built on not just love, but trust. They recognize you as the leader, and trust you will give them direction. You'll have much happier dogs, and a lot less stress. More...

Q&As

I love improving the relationships between dogs and their owners.

One of the first dogs I rescued had severe dog aggression and through his rehabilitation, I realized I wanted to help people so they wouldn't have to give up their dogs.

I have a proven success rate and many years of experience working with behavioral issues. I graduated from Animal Behavior College in 2013 and was a course trainer for Cesar Milan's Dog Psychology Center and Sunny day Acres from 2015-2017.
