I have gone to my fair share of salons in the city and had good experiences however, Hannah Burh at Detroit Blows was incredibly outstanding! !! First of all, the fact that all of the products are all non-toxic is amazing. Secondly, the team of employees are beautiful inside and out & the space is so inviting. Lastly, Hannah did my brows & trim - As I walked out I felt confident, refreshed and grateful. Her undeniable light shines through her as she is working and is very talented. Had a wonderful experience getting my hair done at Detroit Blows. I was visiting home and needed a haircut (bad!). Booking online was easy I selected the haircut, highlights and blow out option. The service from check-in to final result was impeccable. My stylist, Deanna (IG: strandbndr_d), took her time with the consultation to really get an in depth idea of what I wanted, and it paid off. I've never been happier with a colorist (my past experiences have left me with too blonde result). She got the perfect look! I enjoyed my blowout experience at Detroit Blows. It's a beautiful new salon in the heart of Downtown Detroit. I was able to easily book an appointment on the Detroit Blows website for a blowout and scalp massage for a weekday evening. This salon closes at 8PM on weekdays, which makes it convenient for customers who don't get off from work until the early evening. Street parking is easy to find after 5PM and parking can be validated for a parking garage around the corner. I chose to park on the street and only paid $2 for two hours. Blow dry bars are my favorite salons to get my hair done the way I like it. When I go to a regular salon, the stylists just don't understand the style I want, they don't know how to style my naturally curly hair, and I usually end up with a plain flat iron style that isn't voluminous and costs a lot of money. Blow dry bars like Detroit Blows are experts at making hair glossy and smooth with an extra bounce that is absent in flat ironed hair. A blowout at Detroit Blows is a very reasonable $40. The service is excellent and customers can enjoy water, tea, coffee, or wine during their blowout.In addition to blowouts, Detroit Blows also offers keratin treatment, coloring, highlights, Deva cuts, makeup, lashes, nails, and waxing services. Yes, I will be back for the Deva cut when all of my curly hair grows back! I have read good reviews for most of the stylists. I had Hannah B. as my stylists and she's a sweet young lady from the Detroit area. She was very delicate with my hair and did a great job at giving me the tight curls I requested so that the hairstyle could last for at least 2-3 days. I made my wedding hair appointment here for myself and my entire bridal party and I cannot recommend Detroit Blows more! The salon was very communicative and accommodating through the whole planning process. On my wedding day, Detroit Blows provided the perfect, chill environment for the big day. We had a table in the back with wine and water, and were able to order lunch to the salon to eat onsite.  All of the ladies in my bridal party loved their hair, and I was really happy with mine as well.  The stylist here have definitely perfected the beachy wave hairy style. Saeeda did my wedding makeup and as someone who doesn't usually like how makeup services turn out, I have to say she is really the BEST! Brittany Ounanian was my hair stylist , and let. Me. Tell.you. You should book with her I literally never get my hair done for anything. I get it cut once every few years and I don’t just let anyone touch my hair. One day back in November I spontaneously decided it was time to let my fears go and go cut my hair. I have been to this salon a few times since moving downtown and I absolutely love it! Their customer service is great, they always offer water or wine when you arrive! Let me just say that Detroit Blows has really changed my life!! I have never had a bad experience and everyone is always so positive, friendly, and professional. I had a great experience at Detroit Blows. Definitely a place to get blowout and trim. So first off there is a parking unit right next door to Detroit blows. Detroit blows comps for up to two hours. I was a little over so I think I paid maybe 2 dollars. Also there is street meter parking.Walking in the salon is really chic and hip. Nice clean decor. The waiting area looks like something out of urban outfitters or Anthropology. So a great ambiance when you walk in. I barely waited because I had an early day appointment. My hair dresser came out and and introduced herself. I sat in the chair for a moment taking to the hairdresser and proceeded to get my hair washed. The products they use smell so good! My hair felt clean and moisturized. The receptionist asked if I wanted wine or water. I chose wine lol. It was a nice white. I proceeded to get my hair done. I chose the beach wave style and it was very nice. They charge on length above shoulder is 40 and below is 50.  A trim is 10 I believe.I definitely recommend Detroit Blows! More...

I had just the best experience here. From the start, I was coming into Detroit for one night for a benefit and my flight was delayed. I called in a panic saying I was going to be late and the receptionist could not have been nicer. She said to come in when I could and not to worry about it.  This was a Saturday night and everyone in Detroit was going to the same benefit so it's not like they weren't busy! Anyway, my stylist, Asha (I think?) was awesome!! She did exactly what I asked with my hair and it looked fabulous! Stayed curled the whole night and I got many compliments! No perm all natural.. )**Of course I was scared an Hesitant, due to the texture of my hair. ...  I finially Decided to Make an appointment! just my luck..ON ONE OF THE BOOKED DAYS.. I was like welp it wasnt ment.. The Receptionist promised to call me.. if there was a cancellation. An she did!! Everyone in that place is smiling an just so nice. I visited Detroit Blows today for mani-pedi services.  I was very pleased with the excellent nail services I received. I especially love my bright pink polish, and the fact that it is non-toxic. Cannot praise this spot enough. Staff was so kind and accomadating. Fit me in for a mani/ pedi last minute. Y'all. This was $40. I've been going to my spot on the east side in some chaotic, questionably clean environment for way more than that. At the mere mention of having a rough day they already had a glass of champagne in my hand before I could blink. My nails look incredible and everything they use  is non-toxic and they use socially conscious brands. The vibe in there was relaxing and the interior was gorgeous. Also $1 of every blowout service and a percentage of the retail footprint supports Detroit-based female entrepreneurs and women entering and re-entering the workforce.All I know is that I went in there a hectic stressed out mess and I left feeling like a beautiful princess.
