What a great weekend break away. Been in many guesthouses before, but Destiny lodge is the best by far. Our room was beautiful, clean and everything worked in it. Staff very friendly and the gardens is magnificent. Swimming pool clean and beautifully blue. Everywhere small seating areas. The breakfasts where awesome and food arrived warm and tasteful. What a beautiful venue for our wedding day!! And GREAT value for money!! We would highly recommend Destiny Lodge for anyone's upcoming wedding day. Friendly and very helpful staff, stunning venue, beautiful and very clean guestrooms and food of five star quality!!

There are no words enough to explain our gratitude and appreciation for all the staff at Destiny Lodge, who made our wedding on the 2nd of September 2017 such a huge success!!!

But we especially want to thank Pierre, who coordinated our entire wedding from the start to the end. One can see this is his passion and that is what makes working with him, so rewarding and exceptional. He has kept me calm through my worst moments of stress. Thank you so much Pierre for everything you did behind the scenes that we didn't even know about in order to make our most beautiful day so special.

And then, upon talking to all our guests....we did not get any negative feedback regarding the food. Almost all of our guests have said that it was probably the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Chef Jabu, did an outstanding job and we are so greatful. My husband and I are actually so dissapointed that we did not go back for seconds...haha!! Thank you to all the kitchen staff for delivering your best!!

From the first moment I set foot on the property, up until we said our goodbyes the morning after the wedding, I was treated like a princess and with the utmost respect.
The word ‘no’ does not exist in the staff’s vocabulary.
The venue itself and the gardens are beautifully kept
The honeymoon suite is breathtakingly beautiful. I have never seen something this romantic.
And then Pierre just being the cherry on top, having everything under control behind the scenes as well as everything presented to the guests.

We had our wedding at Destiny Lodge. Everything was excellent - from the planning, to the catering and accommodation. This place is run by an excellent manager who cares about guests and making events memorable. There is a beautiful chapel and the gardens are well maintained. The air-conditioned reception hall can easily accommodate 60 guests and there is accommodation for around 50 people.I would certainly recommend this venue to people considering having their wedding in Cullinan or the surrounding area.(Posted photos by Hannes Uys photography) More...

Destiny Lodge is a beautiful venue with an air-conditioned reception hall and chapel. The accommodations are excellent with rooms that are clean, and beautifully decorated. The rooms offer all you need including an iron and ironing board as well as a bar fridge. The gardens are well maintained with exquisite water features.The manager and staff went out of their way to make everything perfect for our wedding. The staff are friendly and their hospitality is exceptional. The catering was of the highest standard and a variety of menu options are available. This is a great wedding venue, that actually looks like it does in the photos. Pierre was very helpful with the planning of our wedding, and was ready with great suggestions when there were details where we didn't know what we wanted. Pretty much everything was also included in the price, the table decor, cutlery & glassware etc, which as it turns out is not always the norm at wedding venues. He and the rest of the stuff were just as great during the wedding. When we arrived the day before, he took us around the place and showed us what was done and what would be done with the items we brought with us. Then it just happened. They prepared everything and cleaned everything afterwards.The food was also excellent, and one of my guests remarked that it was the best food that they have had at any wedding. There was more than enough food, and a good variety. The only negative to the whole thing is that my stomach is physically not big enough to eat as much as I wanted. When we got to the honeymoon suite afterwards, we had a plate with more food waiting for us though.They also have a boma that they make available for an after party, if your guests are so inclined, so those who haven't had enough now have somewhere to go to continue the party. With plenty of accommodation on the venue, they can then also just drag themselves to their rooms afterwards.Weddings are inherently expensive, and when you spend a lot of money, you have high expectations. Beautiful venue! Rooms are spacious & comfortable & neat/clean. Service is ok & staff generally try their best. I witnessed a bad incident though when some guests complained about overcooked food & the chef lost it completely.
