What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What's the first thing you think of, when you think of your company name?
Describe your creative process.
Inspirations, colors, thoughts and ideas. All of these things combined are a part of the creative process.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
I sit and find out about them and the business. The goal they are trying to accomplish and the market they are trying to reach.
What do you love most about your job?
The smiles on my clients faces, the anticipation of that first look. I love helping them along the journey to making the event memorable. It may sound cliche' or corny, but their happiness is my drive.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always been the kid into the decor of the party. Picking apart how they did certain things or what I would have done different. I didn't have many parties myself, due to traveling a lot as a child, but while traveling I learned a lot about color coordination and art. I also learned as an adult, being a military wife how to pay attention to detail and the importance of spending time with family. Life's little celebrations allow you to do the Birthday thing, Wedding Dance, or the Baby Swing... (my own little fun terminology :). With that being said, I meshed my love of art, color and design with Celebrations and Designer Chic Designs was born.

I put my clients vision first. The first thing I ask is...What do you see as you walk into your event? How do you want your guests to feel... This is something important. You want to leave a memory that last and you can't leave a lasting impression if you don't know exactly what your client wants. Sometime, it's hard for them to explain, so you just have to help them see the vision by closing their eyes and feel it.
