We have just had our fireplace installed and we are very, very pleased with it! From our initial dealings with Nigel in the shop, his expertise and guidance were second to none. This was followed by a home survey where again Nigel's advice was both informative and valuable. The fireplace was installed by Gavin who was not only extremely professional and polite, clearly very good and what he does but also generally just a nice guy. I had the most amazing results from Nigel and his team. I was renovating a 1930’s fireplace, in pretty sad condition. Nigel took measurements and made a bespoke insert for my original fireplace. Needless to say it fitted like a glove and the quality was first rate.Nigel always answered the phone with my annoying questions throughout, and never delivered anything less than a perfect product and help.I would highly recommend. We had been searching for a 'hole in the wall' fireplace. Our local fireplace shop was unable to provide what we were looking for. Nigel immediately recognized our requirements and produced a bespoke solution at a competitive price. Gavin fitted the fireplace. Cowboys. Took them 7 times to come out and fit my gas fire. Nigel said fires are made to measure. He lied. Mine is 2inches from the wall. When we looked at the surround it was cracked in 2 places. So we rang him funny it was hard to get hold of him. Always an excuse. He wasnt there, or some lame excuse. Had new surround in, while fitting it the glass cracked. And the silver above it had a dent in it. We're the fitter had dropped it. Again we had to wait for a new one. Avoid them they brought us 5months of stress. More...

Wouldn't use them again. Ordered an electric wall fire which arrived twice with the marble cracked. Eventually got one into the shop but had to keep calling to get it delivered. Eventually was delivered by a courier and he wouldn't even bring it in the house! Would not recommend. More...

Avoid this place at all costs. I paid around £340 up front for a custom made fire tray which I sent Nigel Obbard the exact measurements I wanted (in a detailed diagram sent by email). What turned up? Nothing that resembled my measurements. The control on/off mechanism is absolutely rubbish and my old fire tray which lasted 20 years was far superior. To say he was totally unhelpful would be an understatement - once he's got your money he's not interested in providing what you have asked for. I could sue him but I can't be bothered with the hassle (although I've kept all the paperwork as proof and just might change my mind on that).. More...

I agree with the previous review, the store has a good range of product, and everything was fine until the fireplace was installed.
Within a couple of years, it stopped working properly. Trying to get them to fix it proved impossible. They eventually sent someone who clearly had no clue how to fix it... Nigel could not care less about fixing one of his own installation, that was quite clear! In the end I had to contact the manufacturer to get the details of a qualified engineer, The Gas Fireplace was not one of them.
I would avoid, there are other fireplaces company around with better service.

We mostly work online and remotely whereas we used to go to visit the clients a lot more previously now we can have online meetings using Google meet. This saves time and makes us more efficient now

We carried on working through supporting our clients without any help from the government or local authority
