Carlos and his team helped us with quite a complicated renovation project. It started out as one thing and due to previous occupants leaving damage in the flat, our needs quickly grew. Initial quote and timelineCarlos was fast with his responses and came around to view the situation and give a quote. The quote was broken down into understandable elements, there was no unnecessary jargon and he made the timelines and what you were paying for very clear.Materials and cost awarenessHe gave a detailed breakdown of the materials needed and was conscious to give the best value for money (cheapest materials not always the most cost effective), but he was very aware of our budget and what we were comfortable with. He does not add padding for the cost of materials CommunicationI had daily communication with Carlos throughout the process and regular photo updates when I was not able to attend the site. He was always available and responded to messages as soon as he could ReliableOne thing that stood out to me was that Carlos and his team were always there when they said they would be, if not earlierFlexibleWe started off needed only a kitchen ripped out and fitted, but we found damage to the bathroom and he quickly adapted the project plan, timeline and costs and actually delivered ahead of scheduleSpeedFor the first time in my dealing with construction companies, the timeline was adhered to. Carlos and his team completed a new patio installation including construction of retaining wall, with steps, for raised section of garden. The finish is outstanding and the guys were the tidiest, friendliest and most hard working I have come across in the trade. I have lived in London 15 years and have fully re-developed two C. London properties. I recently hired Carlos to do an extremely diverse range of jobs in my Kensington property, including: - Hanging hardwood, very heavy (30kg) doors - Installing expensive/ high-end brass doorknobs & fixtures throughout the whole flat- Carrying out advanced electrical work such as an entryphone system- Extensive Kitchen Plumbing repairsAnd, VERY IMPRESSIVELY, Carlos also built a king size headboard with that I had self/ custom- designed. He brought my vision to life!! And even added his own taseteful brass finishings & trim as well as valuable design ideas of his own.Carlos built a stunning fully tiled headboard that was elegant and masterfully tiled, carpentered and executed. The headboard was extremely heavy due to the tiling... but Carlos (as a knowledgeable tradesman) still managed to secure it strongly and sturdily.Having worked with over 25 tradesman over the past 9 years, Carlos is without doubt the most hard-working, reliable, honest and capable tradesmen I have hired. He never complains about the challenges or difficulty of a job, he instead comes with solutions and creative work-arounds. He is SO hardworking that many evenings I had to force him to stop his work at 8pm, otherwise he'd happily continue well into the late evening. Carlos was able to accommodate an appointment at short notice to view the areas of concern. A thorough examination was conducted and I immediately felt at ease to allow Carlos to complete work at the earliest possibility. The work was completed one schedule, meticulously done and the finished result looks fantastic. The price was fair and Carlos was kind enough to prepare some of the Painting work ahead of time in order to ensure that the deadline was met on the day.
