club house staff was friendly and helpful. bar had ice cold beer. range balls were right at 50 for a small batch. pretty nice atmosphere usually.
staff was amazing! great course but the greens were really marked up and bumpy hard to get a good roll to the holes. Nice driving range I give it a 3 star only because of greens. I under stand that if they roll the greens they would get to fast. tip for players clean up your ball Mark's! More...
Great place great people had a great time
Not sure what the complains were about but my son and I visited from California and we had a lot of fun playing this course. Sure it was a little slow at times, that's because there were other people who also want to play golf. If you tend to be wild off the tee you may not want to play this course. It is narrow and doesn't offer a ton of forgiveness but it also allows you to play smaller clubs like 3 woods and long irons. My only minor gripe is the cost. 79 bucks at2pm on a weekday tee time does seem a bit much. I would say 50-60 is more reasonable. But the gal in the pro shop was really nice and the employees around the course were cool. The greens rolled pretty good but by 4pm it was obvious that they just had a lot of feet trampling them from all the days foot traffic. That's not the Course's fault. This course is well kept and I really enjoyed the fact that the bunkers were raked and that the fairways were so green. I've played some serious dog tracks in California, this was a nice course that we enjoyed playing. If you don't expect to find TPC Scottsdale, and you don't mind a four hour round, you'll enjoy yourself on this course. Peace and knock them stiff. More...

Great driving range ray golf course people are wonderful very helpful
Beautiful place, friendly people, reasonable prices...
Great golf course, make sure you get an early tee time; not much shaded areas on the course.
The course is in great shape. I just wish people would fix there ball marks on the green.
Great course awesome employees, yummy food loved it!
Nice course. Great people.
Excellent value for money. For $78 we had a round of golf, cart, rental clubs, range balls and a meal & drink voucher!! Course was in great condition also!!
We are playing this course every week! Best deal in Las Vegas for great course, helpful staff. Love it!

Beautiful Golf Course. Fairways and Greens are in excellent condition. If l lived here, I would be a member of this course.
Beautiful course.. staff are awesome!
Nice shape. Sporty course. Great staff. Can’t wait to go back and play again.
Should be one of the best in Vegas. Rolling hills, perfect greens and fairways and abundance of mature trees to seek shelter if desired!
Great course 10/10 . Everything was spectacular.
It is a beautiful course not to hard and the staff is great.
Very nice course, in good shape and playable. Would definitely recommend it.
we had an excellent time at the golf course today! Super lucky that it didn't rain! love the staff. Dan in the Pro shop is the bomb! .
Great course and staff! Yummy lunch too.
Awesome day today very attentive staff!
Very fun. My wife’s favorite course in Las Vegas. Well maintained and great value.
Nice course. Well maintained. The staff are a whole lotta awesome. Everyone from the pro shop, restaurant and support/ starter were friendly and super helpful. Can’t wait to come back!
Course was green and in great shape as always, staff is friendly as always too. My only struggle were the greens, they seemed a little on the sluggish side. would I play this course again, absolutely! I would recommend it to everyone!! More...

Beautiful course. Very tight fairways. Keep it straight and you’ll be ok. Lots of water.
Tight course but great workers and wonderful lay out.
This course is amazing. The staff happy and helpful. We had an such a fine day. Thank you for everything Desert Pines. We will be back.
Great experience. Marshal asked if I had played there before and I had not. He took the time for a couple minute briefing about the course. It has VERY narrow fairways and a little water. The included lunch was the full menu and had great options. For locals at $45 this time of year was just right. More...
Course is well maintained club house restaurant also staff are awesome..
Really nice course, fast greens. We are talking about coming back next year
Fun round in Las Vegas. Super fun.
Good course, visitors and really enjoyed the course. Also had a free lunch with the round, amazing food from there. Would recommend to anyone!
great place to play golf!
great course and lay out, very friendly staff
First-time guests at Desert Pine Golf Club. We had the best time with family I golfed with my niece Jennifer after the first nine she started to outdrive me, and had the only birdie of the day. The course was in great shape for being winter⛄️ the back nine was the best. Can't wait to get some revenge on Jennifer. Pam and my sweetie Diana were our caddies and did an awesome job. Thanks to the staff@ Desert Pines More...
Nice course, reasonable price, narrow, good greens, close to downtown. Need cart GPS.
Great condition, fast greens and narrow fairways.

Beautiful views and very well service
Had another great day of golf with friends at Desert Pines today. Fairways and Greens were in good shape and the food at the clubhouse is awesome. Close to the strip and great rates. ️♂️⛳ More...
This place is amazing! Set up a tee time a week in advance. Super easy and affordable. Super close to Fremont Street. Arrived early and was happy to learn a few balls at the range were included in fees. Score! Bag drop set us up in the cart and had us ready to roll before I finished paying. course was in great condition. fairways and greens are well manicured and maintained. love the extra deep sand traps! truly a challenge. cart was great- clean and shiny. i was intrigued by the idea of golf boards and like that as an option, although a bit pricey for the add on. I will definitely play here again! More...
Awesome Place ⛳️ ♂️ would play there next year
Service was outstanding and course was in good shape. Thank you!!!
Very well maintained golf course. The staff is extremely professionally and helpful. Would definitely return for another round of golf.
Absolutely fantastic! Volunteering at Rock the Pines concert for Love Hope Strength was wonderful and made my heart HAPPY! 15 potential life saving donors were added to the marrow registry! Played 18 holes with my Dad’s lefty set of clubs on Sunday after show...wonderful! I will make this a regular stop in Las Vegas when in town! Thank you for hosting Rock the Pines event to save lives one concert at a time for LHS!!! Outstanding show with talented kind beautiful humans! More...
Very well taken care of course, friendly as hell staff -All Of Them!! The course is short and narrow so it’s fun and challenging at the same time. It’s also a beautiful piece of property! More...

Un lugar muy lindo y acogedor ! Un bello sitio para compartir entre amigos y amigas!
very beautiful course and a friendly staff
Great course, clean greens and very friendly staff. If I had only 2 things negative to say, it would be that there needs to be more water coolers throughout the course and did not see a single ball cleaner at a single hole. Prices were good and I will definitely return to play there again. More...
Kelly W. Muhr-suhr
Nicest summer course I’ve played in Vegas. The landscape is super green and the fairway and greens are in top shape. They also support veteran charities such as Heroes In The Rough.
Great track! A rare course with so many trees in Vegas so close to the Strip!
Bag drop guy knew my tee time just from me giving my last name, pro shop was highly professional and cooperative, informative. The track was in great shape, the pace of play was smooth/quick, and the eats and bar/wait staff was excellent. Will definitely be back More...
Beautiful corse, friendly staff. I’m hooked.
The course was in good shape but was disappointed that I got charged for a buddy that canceled at the last minute. Beware of this policy. Also one of the only major courses in Vegas that doesn't supply bottled water for golfers they do provide a cold towel More...
Narrow fairways. Short course but challenging. $39 was a great rate for the 18 holes, burger and a beer afterwards.
Desert Pines is a hidden gem in Las Vegas. Passed by here on the freeway for years and was asked to play the course. Wow!! I am glad I did. Will frequent this place more. More...
Always enjoy playing at the Pines. Great course and friendly staff. Recommend this course to anyone in the Las Vegas area.
Had so much fun for Father’s Day there! Got out after a tourney around 9am and still finished in 4.5 hrs... course is in great shape... staff inside golf shop were so courteous and professional which is what I like! My only negative is that I didn’t use a Golfboard! More...
Good all round resort course. I would highly recommend, however the greens were a bit slow for regular club players
Bobbi Welch Tomich
Great course. Great price. Would highly recommend.
Decent course with a good price. I like that it doesn't have houses, but the setup is a bit tight so you will likely have golfers from other holes on your fairway. Plus there isn't a marshal to keep pace of play. But the cart girl makes it around good. There are some fun holes. I also like the range. More...

Thanks for a great day at your course. The friendly staff gave us a good experience from start to finish. Course is in good shape. The pace of play was a bit slow, and second round we did not even bother to finish as it was 2-3 flights on each hole in the end there. But totally a great day on a great course. More...
Really enjoyed our round yesterday. Narrow course which was fun. In good condition, around a couple of greens a bit rough. Overall I really liked the course ❤️‼️ More...
Very excellent course well-kept need a little sand in the bunkers otherwise I will give it away give it five stars would play again
True links golf. Narrow course, but fair with a lot of funnel fairways. Bring your best putter. Greens are no joke.
Great golf great staff great food. Course was in excellent condition Pacer play with excellent, I have no complaints about this golf course it's a hidden Jewel
Great design , need to think about every shot, very accommodating and hospitable staff
Very nice course, not too tough. Great food, nice range
Came to Vegas a few years back and wanted to surprise husband with golf before our ceremony. Desert Pines worked with me over the phone to set-up this special day. They had great customer service and were very accommodating. My husband and his party had a great time!!! Thanks for helping make our special day more special! More...
The best for all who love Golf, driving range is awesome , Golf course will challenge you or make it easy for you. The Pub is a great place to socialise or have a Breakfast meeting. Thank you DPGC

Great clean course in great condition, customer service was excellent, associates at the clubhouse to the staff in the restaurant to grounds keepers make you feel welcome and right at home.. I highly recommend and will return.. More...
It a short course but but tight off the tee. The staff is extremely friendly and you can play Bad course very quickly
Golfboard! Rocked it! What a way to pass the wait time. Enjoyed the golf, I think. Not sure I played. That happens when you give kids new toys.
Great use of little land. Fairways are sunken so you really don’t see anybody else unless they are on the same hole. Fairways were in good shape and the greens were very fast. Golf carts and sand in traps need to be upgraded. More...
The rates of $39 including a beer and Crushburger were fantastic. Pace of play was good at 3 1/2 hours, course was in decent shape but it still needs more divot mix available along with a ranger to fix ball marks on greens.
Amazing course right in the middle of Las Vegas. Thought we were at a private club/resort. Beautifully manicured and challenging. Great food in the clubhouse as well. Looking forward to going back. More...
I was very hesitant at golfing here at first... I will say that this is a Gem hidden by it's surroundings... At arrival we were great by energetic you man who grabbed our golf bags and welcomed... Golf boarding is fun. Little sketchy at times , but fun. Short course, tight and cute.
Great course, true greens, tight fairways and the best hot dogs at the bar. All round good value for your $

Pretty course. Greens were aerated recently. Never told us and they were awful. Should have offered a discount with the one hundred dollar greens fees.
Get a repair tool and use it ; greens were nice except for too many improperly repaired ball marks. The rest of the course was in excellent shape. Wish the beer wasn't priced like on the strip . Tee it up! More...
Great little course great shape, was there for the first time for their 17/17 scramble staff was very courteous and at the end as well. Will definitely come back.
Resort style course. Narrow fwy's. Great little layout. Definitely scoreable. Greens are true Pete Dye type. Lots of twists and turns.
Love the course. Had a fabulous time the golf board was worth the extra and finished the round in 3.25 hours. More courses should have them.
Ross C. Ferraro
Nice golf course very challenging, excellent staff members, was treated real well and the prices are very reasonable. The designer of this course was Pete Dye.
Love the greens, the staff is real friendly and helpful. I had breakfast at the club house and also was delicious.
Great course! It's a very well kept course, tee to green. It's narrow and challenging with some beautiful holes. I'll be back!
Nice course, well maintained. Lots of water for fun challenging play. Only criticism would be the distances on the score cards and the markers on the teebox didn't match. Would be nice to have more water stations, trash cans, and ball wash stations. Lack of trash bins might be why there was more trash around the course than I usually see. More...
Enjoyed the course even though the wind was blowing like crazy .... the greens are really have to read but we had a good time .... we will play again
Typical muni course.Nothing too difficult unless u suck at golf like me. It was unusually cold with some rain last Sunday. I shot horribly.. bc of the cold. Lol.The staff were nice. Marshalls kept pace. Drink girl rolled thru. Good day golfing except for score.Fast greens. More...
We enjoyed playing there. The conditions of the course were great. The wind blew like crazy but we still had a good time
Such a beautiful facility! If it wasn't for a few holes that share a fence line with a road, you'd never know you were in the middle of the city.
This is a beautiful golf course... Moderately priced with excellent fairways and greens and challenging undulations as well as narrow fairways on certain holes. It plays relatively fast and the people there are very nice... A very good value More...
Awesome course, top 50 had a great time. Can't wait to play it again
Play this course every time I'm in Vegas. Each time I'm challenged and leave with a smile on my face. Will definitely keep coming back!
Putting extremely tough no matter where pin placement is, great course, everything is challenging.... can't wait to go back !!
Fun all around course. The staff, location and course layout were great!
Lisa Black Straughan
It's a challenging course, lots of water & narrow fairways. Pro shop & restaurant equally good
Fantastic track! Tee to green as well as I've played condition wise in years. Greens were in a little rough shape (fix your fricken ball marks people!) but rolled really well. Tough greens for sure. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful as when I made my tee time it turned out to be for Sunday not Friday. Being we were in town for March Madness and leaving Saturday, that wasn't going to work lol. Nevertheless, the guy in the pro shop (wish I'd gotten his name) got us out for the same discounted price. My biggest issue with the course was the discrepancy between the scorecard yardage and the yardage markers on the tee boxes, but that's pretty minor. Next time I'm in Vegas, Desert Pines is the first place I'm playing More...
Pretty challenging course. There MANY very narrow fairways which makes it fun and challenging. The greens and other areas are very clean and well manicured. I got a great deal on GolfNow website for this course which makes it a great pace to go if you want some last minute golf while you are in Vegas. More...
Not expensive and always a nice driving range to come to. Never really could say much about golf but this place is not a touristy place to go to, the opposite of top golf with not much lights and TVs to distract you just plain old grass and sky lol. Peaceful local spot, bring your own snacks if you plan on working out your hand eye coordination skills for a couple of hours. More...
Great course, staff was really friendly had a great time.
My wife and I got golf clubs for Christmas, so we have been stopping by the driving range after work to get some practice in. We love the facilities. I can't wait till the warm weather comes around so I can try out their golf course. Just remember when you are buying ball don't forget to put a basket under to catch them! More...
Outstanding place to golf in LV, the grounds were so manicured!!! I will come to Vegas to just golf here!!!!
It's a great spot to hit some balls. I have never golfed I have only gone to the driving range and every time I have a great time. Let's keep in mind I'm a beginner! The facility has an upstairs and a downstairs buying balls is pretty easy and it's not expensive at all! I always find the place to be peaceful. I also noticed that it's busier during the week then it is on the weekend. More...
I like playing golf at this course on every trip to Las Vegas. It's a beautiful course and well designed in layout. The 18 holes are difficult offering a high degree of challenge for all skill levels. The maintenance staff do an excellent job in maintaining the course and everyone is very helpful. More...
I really like coming to the range it's got a nice set up. I also golf at this course and it's a really nice tough 18 holes. The only thing I really don't like is that the little store at the range closes pretty early some days and you have to go all the way the the main office just to get a receipt for the balls More...
Well kept, especially for winter, great price, narrow makes for a nice challenge...
My first experience playing golf was when I was a young kids, and barely remember! This course is beautifully kept, and a blast to play. I'll definitely be back.
Loved it! Golf boards are the best and could not fault the service.
Never disappoints. Great course and great staff. A must play anytime you are in Vegas.
Enjoyed your course...quite challenging and well maintained....definitely would come back!!!! BTW aced hole 16!!!!
Great staff, and great track. I always love playing this track.
Great course!! I do play there about 4-5 times a year, but I hit the practice facility atleast 3 times a week. The course is always great, but is very tight like all the other reviews. The practice facility is very good, but has gone down hill.. Going there as much as I do, I wish they would keep it up more. But if you need a place to hit balls and work on your game, it's a great place to do that, and it's open late! More...
Tough course , was in good shape , greens very tough , course is definitely a challenge
I'm a local with lots of options of where to play in Vegas. We keep coming back here. Great course conditions and the people are friendly.
Nice golf course Only problem I have with this course is the greens are in bad shape other than that is good course
Great staff and course in great shape...definitely thumbs up...
Perfect service, marshals through out the course.Half way house with American food.I love the people met on golf course.
Great course and very nice staff thanks ⛳️
So thankful we got married at Desert Pines Golf Club, it was amazing. To start off, we planned this wedding in 30 days for 50 people. We live in Colorado, so this was not easy. Until we met Kristina! We first booked with Always and Forever, they were horriblie with communication and not pleasant to deal with, we booked the waterfall garden which we thought looked beautiful. Not so much, they only show you the good pictures and leave important things out. So, I took a flight out there to get things taken care of. Glad I did, weddingwire.com is great! I called Kristina, at Desert Pines Golf Club, she was able to meet with me within 30 minutes of my phone call. When I showed up I was finally impressed with a beautiful location! Everything about it is 5 stars, the food was extremely good, the open bar was a great deal, the cake was delicious, the flowers were beautiful, the set up and wedding itself was breathtaking, the Dj was awesome, I just can't express how perfect it was. Our event was from 5:30 to 11 pm. A sunset wedding that was flawless. I looked and looked it was very hard to plan a wedding so fast! The moment I met Kristina was the moment the horrible stress stopped. She loves doing this and boy is she good at it! Next best thing was the price, WOW are they priced fairly. In my opinion we looked all over and it was a rip off and nothing to be thrilled about. This had the feeling of class, what a beautiful golf course. We were able to take golf carts out and take unbelievable pictures on the greens. This is something we will never forget! We can't wait to book another event there, the family had such a good time we all want to go back and have a blast again. Desert Pines GC should be at the top of the list for Las Vegas weddings! We dont have a single compliant. We highly recommend Desert Pines, it was unforgettable. More...
Course was in great shape. The greens were a little slow due to us being the first group out. It was wet! I will be back soon

Really enjoyed our round. Course was in good shape, greens well manicured. Service was A+, both in the Pro Shop and in the Clubhouse. Located just a short drive from The Strip so it was convenient to get to buy a little set off from the hustle and bustle, allowing for a quiet and relaxing round. More...
Great course and they just reseeded! And what a great view of the Strip!
Played here twice and enjoyed it both times! Will come and play again from Sweden!
I played Desert Pines on a recent trip to Las Vegas. I was looking for something close to the strip, and this course fits the bill. Given that it was August, I wanted to play a little early to avoid the heat so a short drive was a plus.I arrived about 20 minutes before my 8:30 tee time. There was not much going on at the course. There were a few locals playing from the 9th to the 10th, but other than that, the place looked very quiet. The folks in the pro shop were nice enough. I bypassed the bag drop when I drove in because no one was there and the area has a reputation of being kind of sketchy. While I was checking in, one of the staff ran out and put my bag on a card. The driving range is two level, with artificial mats and several target flags. Balls were included with the greens fee. I saw another guy waiting around the clubhouse and asked if he was playing. We hooked up for our round. With very few other groups on the course, we played in much less than 4 hours. We didn't really see anyone until we got to the 18th tee and had to wait a few minutes. The course was in excellent condition particularly if you consider it was the middle of August in the desert. It was playing very soft, meaning not much roll in the fairway and approach shots that stopped on a dime. I'd hate to pay their water bill! We played the white tees which are under 6,000 yards. However, the course is built on a small piece of land and fairways are very narrow. Not much need to hit driver on many holes. I didn't stop in the bar/restaurant. We saw the cart girl 3 times during our round which was a plus given the heat. The place met my expectations. It was close to the Strip, was in very good condition and was a good, though tight layout. Given all the positives, it rates 4 stars from me. More...
Definitely five stars. I have had many good experiences here and a lot of fun. The members of the staff are friendly and helpful. I like the golf course because the landscaping is aesthetically pleasing. It leaves you with a peaceful and calm feeling. I like the diversity of the neighborhood as you drive on the way to the course. I also like seeing the real Las Vegas, so to speak, as I play. I am a Las Vegas resident and I love the billboards and the closeness of the abutting streets to the property. It feels like home. I appreciate that the driving range is open until 11:00 p.m. during the summer because there's no other golf club that I know of in town for after work practice. The view of the mountains and The Strip as you play reinforces that "Cool, I live in Vegas" attitude. The views of The Strip and the mountains are truly beautiful from the Desert Pines driving range, 2nd story. If you are always looking to improve your game, like I am, this is a good course to practice on regularly and to try to master because it requires you to straighten up your aim. It really makes me work on precision. Prices are very reasonable. If you are looking for a positive golfing experience, Desert Pines would be a great place to play golf. More...
Goof times, Fast greens, Tough layout, and water in so many places you can donate balls all day long.
Hidden gem. Very fun short course hidden behind the freeway and a bunch of meth labs. Always in decent shape with many driveable par 4's, all 5's reachable in 2, combined with undulated complex greens that are a little shaggy, but roll very true. Its awesome when you bomb a drive and hear gun shots right when you crush it down the middle of tight, yet forgiving fairways. Pro shop staff are super cool to locals and cart girls are friendly when you see them. Outside service are very chill as well. Would recommend this course to anyone. More...

Great day out good course good company wooooooooooo
Great layout. Fun and lots of character. Staff and good food was wonderful . Can't wait to play next week......
Awesome course! Played there two days in a row second day never saw the beer cart one time was disappointed in that!
Ms. Kopp and her staff provided a beautiful venue. Their professionalism and willingness to accommodate our wishes put all parties at ease. There was not a single aspect of the ceremony or reception that they did not handle to our satisfaction. I would highly recommend this venue for any occasion. More...
Fun and challenging course, nice fairways and greens in great shape! Staff was very friendly.
Desert pines golf course review only. The course was well kept. Seems like they adopted keeping the fairway green and the rough can dry out. Challenging from black tee. Smooth greens but harder sand. Would play again. They have those surf golf karts now... For a fee. More...
Nice course. Well laid out and very well kept up. Good driving range also.
First course in Vegas my Dad and I had ever played. We were both promptly greeted at the front door, as fast as we could pay the cart and clubs were waiting for us. The starter gave a great rundown of the course. I'll admit it was hard stay focus due to the great view and amazingly carved out golf course! Every part of the course was perfect tee boxes to greens! Thanks to all the staff! Keep up the good work! More...
Great golf club !
Great course. Worth playing if you're in Vegas.
2 months ago I played this course for the 1st time it's was very nice a in great shape.
Amazing!! Had a spectacular time. Service was above and beyond, amazing course, excellent food, and friendly staff! Christina and Cara were were hilarious.
One of my favorite courses, a must play!! Always in great shape.
I'm impressed. Course condition was awesome. Excellent customer service from bag drop, starter, to club house. Only draw back is area of town.
Played course on 3 September and it was pretty rough. Very challenging course but that is how you get better. Front 9 is no joke! Although I thought the condition of the Callaway rentals should be better and the rate, it is Vegas. Staff were courteous and professional. Facility is well kept and nice driving range. Personal name plate on cart rentals was a great touch. More...
Nice way to hit some balls...and not have to tee up on your own. Clean facility. Double deck of mats to chose where to hit from.
Man, I love this place. (Granted, I've only used the driving range, but, still.) The driving range is a great value, and the automatic tee-setter really saves my back.
Great course to play.... no complaints here. Golf all you can drink and lunch for 100 can't beat that
Neighborhood driving range for everyone. It's close and clean, best time to learn how to play golf.
Nice course, nice driving and putting ranges, clean facility with a good restaurant. Treat you with respect and gratitude. A bargain place.
The food is amazing and the course is really beautiful!
Jamie was very helpful. She even helped us with the DJ. This golf course was perfect for an outdoor ceremony. The only thing was, you have to be ready before coming here because they didnʻt have a bridal room like the other golf courses we looked at.
The new management has done a fantastic job the course is so well maintained. The fairways are lush and the greens are nice and tight. Awesome course. The local all inclusive package is a great bargain! Love this place More...
Recommend this course to all. Make sure you take advantage of the "inclusive" deal. Truly the best deal we found. You can have breakfast, lunch and golf as well as all snacks and non- alcohol drinks while there. The course? I hit it a bit longer so it took driver out of my hands quite a bit. Which actually helped me a lot because you better stay pretty straight cuz it is kinda tight. They put 18 holes of golf in a small place. Course was in great shape and greens were pretty fast which I like. Even after a good rain. There is a par 3 challenge hole as well. Bet money and " just hit the green" and you win that amount in club house credit. Stay on the green and your bet us doubled for club house credit. Good deal if you are already planning on buying a souvenir already. Pretty spendy though. Hats ($35). Shirt ($69-89) sleeve of three pro v ($16) Next time I play there I will bet $40 to get that $80 shirt. Then it is worth it. They also have a great $35 re-play rate. So can play 36 holes with inclusive food and beverage for the day for as little as $140. That's a great deal. Staff was friendly but nothing spectacular although the Bev cart girl was exceptional. Food was pretty good as well. Not over the top but pretty good. More...
Haven't played the course yet but the range is my fav between this place and TaylorMade.

Gotta love my job...
Beautiful layout, little short but in fantastic condition. Greens are tremendous. Lovely place to play
One of the best courses in Las Vegas - I highly recommend. Fantastic value when rated against other local Las Vegas courses. The staff is one of the best I've encountered. Looking forward to playing again on my next visit. Weather is also fantastic at this time of the year. More...
Desert Pines Golf Club remains different from other courses in Sin City. That my friends is a good thing. A little variety will never hurt. There are a number of desert tracks filled with target golf but few with the visually stimulating wall-to-wall green fairways such as Desert Pines. Reasons for playing at the club on your next trip to Vegas. The Variety rules at Desert Pines. Perry Dye is the mastermind behind the design of the 6,810-yard, par-71 course to be reminiscent of the hills of the Carolinas. The vast number of pines and man-sculpted mounding give golfers a real sense of solitude, drowning out the noise from the freeways and roads adjacent to the course. Many a time players one fairway over stay mostly out of sight. Dye creatively used the land to develop a compelling course. At one point, three greens come together within close proximity, however the water separating the three allow for each one to maintain their own space and identity. If you're residing on the Strip Desert Pines is conveniently located in that it is only a short cab ride away. Desert Pines reopened its two-tiered, climate-controlled, automatic driving range after a lengthy renovation. Real grass which is seldom seen on ranges in the Las Vegas Valley, has replaced the synthetic turf of the landing zone area. Five of the grass greens courses are modeled after famous PGA Tour locales. All new range balls help golfers better gauge their distances before playing the course. The second level of the two-tiered facility still includes an automated teeing system, which sets up a golfer to tee off without having to touch the ball. Although there's plenty of challenge with multiple lakes and slick bent-grass greens, Desert Pines does have a softer side that weekend players will love. Desert Pines is extremely playable possessing a 125 slope from the tips. Most people play for fun, 6,464-yard middle tees. The mounds have the tendency to funnel misses into the fairways and away from the trees. The mature pines tend to shelter the course from the wind on days when players at other area clubs are getting blown all over the place. The Duffer's Bar & Grill is a great spot for a post-round drink or meal. The menu is diverse in that it serves a wide variety of refreshments from a Philly cheese steak to low-carb options. Wrap-around windows to reveal the course and the beauty of the Vegas skyline. The Champions Room and its covered patio can be used for private functions. So please wether your a local teeing off, or only in for the weekend enjoy the comfort of Desert Pines Golf Club!. More...
On the day I visited it was gorgeous and the staff was amazing. I enjoy a great course, but the impeccable customer service will bring me back!
Great time, great course and much cheaper than other local courses. Thanks again for one fun golf round.
Played this morning with an early morning tee time. This course is in fantastic shape. Lush green tightly mowed fairways, greens are on the slow side but are in great shape. This course isn't overly difficult if you can keep your drives in the fairways. Many of the fairways are narrow and are lined by waste areas. You won't loose many balls as they keep the waste areas clean. Lots of bunkers. I'd highly recommend playing from the tips as it will take a lot of the bunkers out of play. This course is beautiful and you hardly know your in the desert. Tons of desert pines and many lakes really make this course a winner. The service was overall very good (except for an obnoxiously smart-ass club house cashier). Expect an attendant to pick up and load your clubs when you arrive and another who cleans then when you leave. This course is a steal, play it. More...
We booked a tee time for my husband and cousin at 8am on a Thursday using Golf Now. I called the morning of their tee time to pay the remainder of the greens fees for them as a surprise. The man I talked to on the phone (I think his name was Robert?) was very helpful and accommodating. My husband said that it was a very nice course. The greens fee includes your cart rental and a bucket of balls for the driving range. The employees took their clubs to the cart and set it all up for them. When they were done, employees cleaned their clubs and drove them to their car.My husband isn't a very experienced golfer and my cousin golfs fairly often. Both said it was a fun course, challenging and extremely narrow. They have generous boundary mounds to compensate good bounces for the narrows. Overall, they had a good experience and would recommend to others! More...
Course in great shape
Loved every thing about it, except for my score of 93, but what a great course
Excellent course. Great shape. Greens were slick that day. Awesome driving range.
Awesome time. Great staff( extremely impressed). Beautiful course. Won the challenge on #11 against Brad! That was fun. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left I felt like a high roller. Thanks for a GREAT time and I can't wait to come back. I also need to give a shot out to Walters Golf for making my dreams of playing golf on Vegas come true. Thanks again Desert Pines!!!! More...
This was the perfect venue! We had both our ceremony and reception here. The setting is gorgeous. The staff is amazing. Jamie the catering and sales manager made planning our wedding so easy. She was a pleasure to work with. Definitely recommend this place.
Ps: have your reception on the patio. ;) More...
Love the new / refurbished driving range. Snacks, and lunch a place to enjoy. Rain or shine, I have a great time to get my practices done.
In the interest of full disclosure: my review is strictly regarding the practice facility as I have not had the chance to play the course yet. Some background: my 10 year old son recently took up an interest in golf and we got him lessons (at a different facility) and a set of kids clubs. Until recently, I had not played in about 15 years, so we've been touring around town checking out practice facilities and 9 hole courses. I saw Desert Pines on Groupon and before biting the bullet and getting a $55 range pass, we decided to check it out and just get a couple $10 range cards, which basically gets you 100 balls each. The practice facility is easily the nicest I've seen in Las Vegas. It was well worth the 15 mile drive from our home. Though the machine that controls the automatic tee up ball relay was a bit worn, this little feature addition was the main driving force (no pun intended) that prompted us to try it. The balls automatically tee up for you and the machine tracks how many balls you play. You can play as many as you want and take the card to finish your pre-paid amount later or add on. The facility itself was clean, well lit, and spacious. I particularly liked that the facility had tables and benches behind each bay for visitors (in my case, my tag -along daughter). The turf didn't show much wear, though you may need to adjust the mat when you get there so the automatic balls don't get stuck. A major advantage of this driving range as well is that it is open late, since it is lighted. On the night that we went (Wednesday night) it was open until 11pm. I found that many ranges I called closed at sunset due to not being lighted. This is convenient for after work practice, obviously. Players can get range cards at the snack bar and choose the upper or lower range. Those that already have cards can just walk right in. We also checked out the putting green. It was well maintained and offered different slopes to practice your short game. Having visited the practice facilities at TaylorMade Experience, Aliante, and a couple others, this one is by far our favorite. I look forward to checking out the back nine on a future trip. Though it is not located in the best area, it is well guarded and is truly an urban oasis. I would highly recommend Desert Pines and I will definitely be returning. More...
Played in Las Vegas a once before. I was looking for a different course to play. So I found this course spooning around on Yelp! reading reviews. The reviews (which were very informative & spot on) helped me make my decision to reserve a tee time. The picture gallery helped too, don't always believe what I see (i.e. Photo shop/filters). Played here during spring break. Had a great time! The fairways were plush & greens fast. The pictures on Yelp! were exactly what I seen. Pine tree lined emerald green fairways & the Las Vegas sky line in the background. The course is quit challenging. The fairways are narrow with the exception fora few holes. Bunkers are long, narrow & deep. Fairways tee shots are crucial or bare the hard dessert dirt. Water comes into play on numerous holes & greens. The staff were very polite & courteous. Even the marshal was quit cordial as he warned my foursome that we were a lil behind. This golf course is on list as a must play while visiting Las Vegas. I gave it a 4 out of 5, for the fact that there were no ball washers through out the course. More...
Great course! Had a blast! It a little short, but lots of fun. And close to the strip compared to most spots...
Had an Awesome time playing Desert Pines in Las Vegas!!! Beautiful course, great people! Thank you!
Have to say, this was a highlight of my trip.Used social media to find this place and got a discount on club hire.Played December 28th and course was in good shape. Range was also in good condition.Welcomed pleasantly by woman and she got us out early ahead of a big group...the thoughtfulness goes a long way with me.Course itself is fun. Offers different looks and plenty of water. Trust the yard markers. The par threes can mess with your eyes.Upon finishing they booked us a cab ride home after a drink at the bar.Cab ride from stratosphere was $14.80. Should not be more than that.A great time More...
Decent practice range. The automatic ball feeders are a nice touch. They have heaters which can be turned on by the individual stall - very nice if it is cold.
Great course to check out while in Vegas. The driving range has heaters for the off chance the freezing weather in the Las Vegas desert makes you think you're in Alaska. The greens master is a cool guy and makes bets with people for discounts in the store. He tried to get me to pay for some stuff but if I sank a 10 foot putt I'd get it for free. I declined. And then sunk a 25 foot putt, dammit! Bring balls here though because they charge an arm and a leg for them. One dozen is like 40-60 bucks. And there is water on almost every hole so expect to lose a bunch if you golf like me! More...
This course is absolutely amazing!! Fairways are soft as butter, greens are in amazing shape, the scenery is spectacular, and the staff (Jody, Dez, Lexi, Charles, Brad, Matt, and anyone else I have left off) make you feel like your are at home!!! Anytime I'm in Vegas, Desert Pines will be my "home course"!!!! More...
We had the best time at Desert Pines. The course is well laid out and in great shape! The best feature of this course is the training pro Brad Greeley. Every player gets to wager against him for pro shop dollars. Can't lose. Hope Brad is working when we come back. More...
The course was in great shape staff was very nice and catered to your every detail play there August 2012 and will be there again in late August this year look forward to playing again
there's a couple of things you need to know about this course.1. The Range are under renovation, but the chipping and putting green are available. 2. If staying on the strip, thing about renting a car because cab fee is ridiculous ($80 round trip). I saw shuttle bus at the course but I don't know if they offer pickup for tourist. so call the pro shop and ask.as for the course review: this is one of those golf course where you have to go and plays to form your own opinion. All i can say is the layout is challenging where there's a few holes that you can attack the pin and the other where you just want to hit it to the center of the green and two putts for par. And yes, shooting par here is great.as for the fairways and rough, they're both manageable and forgiving. There's water that come into plays of a couple of holes so pay attention on your approach shot. There's god know how many bunkers and most are around the green, again, aim for center of the green. speaking of greens, they are huge which give you a little confident on your approach shot but don't hit it to other side of the pin because majority of the greens have 2-3 tiers and will make it difficult to 2 putts for par. As for the speed, I think it moderate but a lot of them don't break toward the water and some are pretty darn straight. so have your INITIAL READ and trust it... hit it and it will get there. off all the holes, i think the 18th is the toughest because they moved the tee box to all the way in the back. Even if you hit a solid drive, you're still faces with a daunting 180yrd approach shot with water and bunker on your left and a long a narrow green. On my next vegas trip, i would definitely plays here again. the staffs: there's nothing bad to say about them. Excellent service - this is the main reason why I am giving 5 stars!Even though it was a hot summer day when I played here, the staff was very attentive and friendly. The course was nice and was a nice oasis so close to the strip. Drink a lot of water and unlike me, try to get to get there early enough to use the driving range. My game was not the sharpest when I was there, but it was still a very enjoyable day! More...
Been coming here since 2007. I am only giving comment on the Driving Range because I am still just in Driving Range Status lol. This is the the Automatic Driving Range I know in Vegas. Everything is great they just need to keep up the maintenance on the Machine and Fake Grass. 3 out of the 10 machine are broken and the Grass look awful now. More...
For all you novice golfers, hit up the range here at desert pines gold club! This place is located all the way in China, downtownish, charleston bonanza area. hehe. The thing I love about the ranges here, is there is SHADE! It may not be a big deal during the winter time but during the summer time trust me playing golf in the sun WILL BURN YOU!Service is great, the cashier are polite. The prices are reasonable as well. For $25 that gives you 200 balls from what i remember and that will last you a long time!Hitting the range for me relaxes me. And at this particular range there is hardly anyone there, its peaceful and quite.Swing on by now! More...
Here regularly with my fellow @Platinum_Tees & a great course with an amazing staff! Great two story driving range!
if our looking for something awesome to hit up while in vegas, this is the place to be. its perfect price of 62 balls for 5 bucks is one of the cheapest things to do in vegas. you never have to touch the balls since the machine does all the work, they have booze, and some food. they have looner clubs with arent great but do the job for drunk hitting. its a bit off the strip but if you hit this place up at dusk and then move on down to fremont street afterwards it will make an awesome night. we loved this place. This really was a good get away during the boys weekend in Vegas, I got to play golf. Played with a local celeb and he was very cool and patient with my growing game. i was very hot, 95 at 10 am but the golf course was in very good condition...can't wait to get back and try again. More...
I went golfing out here for a bachelor party. I think our tee time was either 5:30 or 6:30am. I forgot since it was a few months ago. The course was decently challenging, and well maintained. My only complaint was the weather; not the heat, but the freaking wind! It was extremely windy from the very start and only got worse. This was in early June, so the weather was also a little warm. But fortunately, we finished before it got too hot. More...
My first experience at Desert Pines spoiled me. It's kinda far from where I live but I love their driving range. You get almost 300 balls for 20 bucks and is reusable if not finished by inserting your card into the automatic ball dispensers.
I've been to desert pines a few nights here and there in the recent weeks, getting some practice in at their driving range. For $10 you get roughly 130 balls to hit at your pace. The range has "automated tees?", which feed the balls through the bottom of the green and you can also adjust the height of the tee as well. Great if you're too lazy to tee up your own golfballs, or if you have a bad back or something. I give this particular range 4 Stars, because it's never really crowded, the prices are good, and the range itself is in decent shape. They are open at night and have mist machines, which is a plus when you're trying to beat 100+ temps during the summer months. So if you want to get out of the house and hit a few shots at the driving range, and not spend too much money or die of heat exposure, this might be a good spot for you to consider. More...
This was a hot but great afternoon but who can complain with .06 cent golf balls and good times with your peeps! We came in the day time so I am wondering if it is better in the evening since it's hard to see where the ball lands, not that it matters much for amateur golfers like me since i could see my golf balls land pretty much in front of me. Another good thing is it was not packed and you are not timed, you can also borrow golf clubs! More...
The DOs & the DON'Ts...DO purchase a golf range card... for $5, $10, $20, $100. DON'T worry... they accept credit cards too! DO bring some clubs, if u own some...DON'T worry... they have loaner clubs too, if ya need. DO appreciate the shaded driving range... it's actually quite cool on a hot Vegas day.DON'T forget to bring water for hydration... if not, they sell beverages downstairs. DO appreciate the one golf ball dispensed at a time... if... u r driving solo.DON'T be annoyed tho... like I was. I'm just used to purchasing balls by the basket and sharing it among my friends. CONVENIENCE: **** [Easy to find, parking is plentiful.]SERVICE: **** [Friendly is always a plus!]AMBIANCE: **** [Clean facility, auto-dispense golf balls, upper & lower levels.]PRICE: $ [$5 & up, depending on range card.]OVERALL: **** [4-stars]Nevertheless, hitting golf balls is a GREAT stress reliever... FORE! Nuff said. More...
This is one cool driving range to practice at, all thanks to technology. Instead of buying balls by the bucket, you buy a card that tracks how many balls you've purchased. You simply insert your card into a machine behind your stall, and your balls will be magically dispensed one at a time onto your tee. This is something that I really appreciate, since there are times where I may not be able to finish off an entire bucket of balls. The card's value doesn't expire, so you're free to take the card and save it for next time without wasting the balls you paid for. This is what technology is all about, convenience!Another plus is that the driving range is two story, with both levels having shade. The person at the snack bar said that the bottom level now has misters running during the summer! And to get in your winter practice, I noticed heaters hanging from the ceiling as well. It's nice to see the thought that was put into making your practice as comfortable as possible.Even after one visit to the driving range (I did not see the course), I can see this spot as being my favorite range so far. Outdoor comfort goes a long way in the Vegas climate, where something as simple as shade can make all the difference. More...
This is a driving range review only because I have not advanced enough to actually wheel myself onto the golf course and aim for a hole. Also, you should know, I am not a driving range expert. This is only the fourth or so range I have visited. So with those disclaimers, here are my thoughts:1. I appreciate that both the lower and upper level are covered, so you are always in the shade. Who needs to worry about sunburn when they're perfecting their swing?2. Balls are cheap. Approximately .06/ball if you go for $20 or more. You simply purchase a range card. 3. Technology! Automatic tees make you feel like you're in The Jetsons. You hit a ball, and a new one pops out of the ground. Bonus fun: If an orange ball comes out, you win a prize. (I did not win a prize.) 4. Open until 11pm during the summer!5. Coors Light! My only complaint is that when we visited the "greens" they looked more like a mangy chia cat. They were almost painfully sore to look at, but given the other nice touches outlined above, I was willing to endure. More...
We got married at Royal Links Golf Club (sister club to Desert Pines) and wow! Being that Las Vegas was a destination wedding for us I was worried about planning all the details from 1500miles away but not once did I worry about anything planning it here, everything from the venue, food, cake, flowers, dj, photographer etc was ALL taken care of :-). We were looking for something a bit different and the beautiful backdrop of the mountains with the strip in the distance all while having our very own castle was incredible. Judy Andrade is the best thing since sliced bread, she was there for absolutely everything we needed and not a day went past without an email or two from her. When we finally met 2 days before the wedding she greeted us with hugs and made us feel so at home. The food was amazing, they even went out of their way to bring us in some Canadian beers. The package pricing was incredible, I couldn't have planned the same event at home without spending at least double. The venue was absolutely perfect and everything that we had hoped for and even though we had a beautiful day (we had the entire wedding (ceremony, reception & dance) outside under the stars) Judy and her staff were going to move the entire wedding to the Desert Pines Golf Club should the day call for rain as a back up! Incredible service if you ask me! If anyone is thinking of doing a Vegas wedding this is definitely the place to do it at!!! More...
This is a great course. The fairways were green and very nicely manicured. However they are narrow and challenging! The staff is great and go out of their way to help you. I recommend this course to everyone. More...
I played this course last weekend. Couldn't believe how immaculate it was. Fairways were in perfect condition, not to mention the greens as well. I usually play other courses around Las Vegas, but this one was recommended to me by the Concierge at Mandalay Bay. I was on a budget, since most of my $$$ was tied up with the blackjack table, but was glad to see that this particular establishment was easy on my pockets. For the amount I paid for, I couldn't believe the shape the course was in. They even had a 2 tiered, automatic ball tee, driving range. That automatic ball tee was the most coolest thing ever. I didn't have to reach down and put the ball on the tee once. Made the strain on my knees and back much easier. On the course, I noticed that they had wooden planks lined up around their bunkers and later found out that this course was designed by Pete Dye himself. Great course, Great rates, and Great staff. I couldn't have been happier playing at a course that would've costed me an arm and a leg. Thanks to the Mandalay Bay Concierge for the recommendation and thank you to Desert Pines for again, making my trip to Vegas memorable! BTW, after your round, I recommend getting the Montecristo Sandwich at the Clubhouse. It's to ""Dye"" for. ;) More...
Beautiful lush emerald green fairways, greens that roll true and the friendliest staff I've ever encountered when playing a resort course. What I really enjoyed about this course were the tight fairways and water that plays on nearly half the holes. While the course isn't very long it certainly requires crafty iron play! Highly recommended and in my book a must play when golfing in Las Vegas. More...
I like the range here. The machines here use a card that the system reads to determine the number of balls that you have left. The system brings the balls up from the ground already on a tee. The "auto-tee" system is very nice since you can keep your card for a future visit. No more needing to go through an entire bucket of balls when you get tired or need to leave. The only reason this course doesn't receive 5 stars is the mats being their only option in the range. I wish they would offer the opportunity to hit from grass. Maybe some day? More...
Driving Range is great. The green's friendly and fun to play. Great place to play for locales and vacationers.
Desert Pines Golf Club is a great place to go to release some stress, what better way to relieve some stress than whacking a couple golf balls at the driving range. I usually come here to practice and have fun at the driving range, very inexpensive. The rates at the driving range are as follows $3 for 38 balls, $5 for 62 balls, $10 for 137 balls, $20 for 287 balls, $50 for 750 balls, and $100 for 1,625 balls. Fully equip with an automatic ball delivery system, it makes your experience that much more easier. Overall a great place to spend leisure time and have fun with friends. More...
Great long course. Had a lot of challenging green shots from mid to long range. Played last weekend as a group of 12 for a bachelor party. I just visited Las Vegas for the first round of March Madness and played Desert PInes Golf Club (3/17/2010). I must say I was impressed! Desert Pines came at the recommendation from a friend who played it earlier in the year. The course was in amazing conditions, the greens rolled very true, the customer service was top notch and to top it offer our group managed to save 20% off the posted rate because we booked through their website - WaltersGolf . com. I look forward to heading back to Vegas next year and playing Desert Pines again! Highly recommended! More...
This is one of the coolest experiences in Las Vegas.Desert Pines is located about 10 minutes from the downtown Fremont Street hotels. You enter the golf course and it is like you have left Las Vegas and stepped into North Carolina.I am sure the experience is designed to mimic Pinehurst N.C.and it does ....You can not believe you are in the middle of the city of Las Vegas.Thick pine trees block the view into the city at all venues. The course is in good shape. There are a lot of sandtraps and decorative "hazards" but for my game, they just do not come into play.If you are a super big hitter they might get you......There is an excellent practice facility just to the left of the clubhouseA super place to warm up before your round. The people are friendly, as is the course.Play this course ....it is almost an "out of body experience."One of hidden secrets in Las Vegas More...
