Derby Tutoring Centre

As what would be described as a mature student who to aid his career needed to complete and pass his Level 2 Maths Functional Skills, I had lessons with Jonathan at Derby Tutoring Centre in the 3 weeks leading up to my exam. Through choice I enrolled on what was a 12 month course 6 weeks prior to its completion and so required the extra tuition to be ready for my exam. The tutoring I received was first class, with my learning style quickly established in my first session and constant assessments throughout to test my knowledge and competency on certain mathematical topics. Lessons were planned to maximise the opportunity to bridge skill gaps and prepare me for my Maths exam, which I’m pleased to confirm I passed first time.The environment is safe, engaging and non distracting, meaning you can focus on your lesson and I was taught with great patience, clear communication and in an inspiring manner.Above all, as a person who isn’t naturally academic, I can say that what I learnt was valuable, I achieved the outcome I desired, and most surprisingly for me I actually enjoyed it!Thank you so much, I can not recommend Derby Tutoring Centre enough! We came across Derby Tutoring Centre as they were becoming established. Our daughter required English tuition and she had at this point had the opportunity to compare the teaching styles of 2 different tutoring establishments and their tutors. We were then quite reassured that an informed decision had been made by our daughter when she expressed enthusiasm and positivity toward the teaching style of her English tutor at Derby Tutoring Centre, Emily. We feel that the tutoring has been very well adapted to our daughter’s needs. Emily has addressed what we had expressed were the areas of concern whilst coordinating the tutoring with our daughter’s syllabus. Fern, our daughter has maths tuition every Wednesday, I feel this has greatly improved her understanding of the subject. Jon is very attentive and understands how to explain the various aspects of ferns curriculum in a manner that teenagers understand.
