Kevin did my staff party and killed it! He played all of the songs we requested and mixed in some similar ones to keep the party moving. His lighting Setup really set the mood, and everyone enjoyed themselves thanks to him. He even went oit of his way to set out the tables and chairs when I got stuck in traffic!!! What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Music choices and flow of the set is very important. Playing multiple genres and Beats Per Minute gives everyone a chance to dance, and keeps things interesting.
Excellent transition and DJ Deck skills are a must. You want to enjoy the changing of the song, not stop dancing because of it!
Having an fun personality is vital. It is hard for a dance floor to kick off when the DJ is not having fun. It will show and reflect in the music set.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
We are hip, but professional. The term 'Progressive' describes us well.
We enjoy playing all kinds of music, while bringing a more hip and modern approach to transitions and structuring a music set.
Expect great transitions and high quality equipment. All of our equipment is modern and stunning.
What do you love most about your job?
What Kevin, the owner, loves most about his job is watching people dance and react to my mixing. It is so exciting to nail a perfect transition, and the crowd goes "Ohhhh!!!!!"
But dance floors aren't everything. Everyone at Denver Lighting and DJ loves lighting! We enjoy designing and installing our visions. We create any kind of environment, anywhere!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Kevin's favorite activity for fun is going to concerts. He has been to hundreds, and draws from his experiences to provide the best DJ and Lighting services imaginable.
