About

Do you feel like your world has been turned upside down? Everyone faces difficult life-changing events. Sometimes these are changes we didn’t want, and sometimes these are ones we did. Either way, change can make us feel lost, stuck, or without direction—and sometimes even guilty about how we are feeling.

Q&As

The best part of my job is that I get to make a positive difference in people's lives. The nature of my works leads me to genuinely care about my clients. We develop a relationship such that I feel like I become a part of their lives--I get to experience an emotional intimacy with them that few others get to. And seeing them grow and improve their lives is truly rewarding.

I like my autonomy. I wanted to be free to practice with my clients in my unique way without concern for how a supervisor or institution was going to judge my approach. This allows to me emphasize the things that are important to me in therapy--my relationship with the client and working with clients that make other therapists uncomfortable in ways that are not your run of the mill therapy.

What my clients most frequently say they appreciate about me specifically as a client is both how comfortable I make them feel about being themselves and how I do more than just listen. The uniqueness of my practice is in the way I challenge my clients to move passed where they have been stuck (sometimes for a very long time) in a way that demonstrates care for both the outcome of the work we do and for how supported they feel in the process.
