The BBQ is very good but the meat needs sauce. I prefer the brisket to be more moist where it does not need any sauce. The sausage is good and so are the ribs.

I love this place it has been around for years and years and the barbeque is just the right amount of Smokey not over smoked. The brisket is SO TENDER. Been coming here for over 20 years (since they were in the strip center by Northwest Mall). Never had a bad meal. I like the fact that the chopped beef is actually sliced beef they chop in front of you instead of the mystery meat (snouts & ears? ) you get at some places. The B-Man Frito pie is my favorite while my wife likes the chicken Hoffy. The Bar-Burrito is very tasty too. We never leave here hungry!

Has anyone tried the steak!
Well you better....I am a regular on the steak for lunch. Please keep doing what you do guys. .. it is so Texas good. I've taken many friends and will continue that as long as the recipe and cook stay the same. Oh and gotta have that excellent tea, just wish the size went back to the big Texas size container. I absolutely love Demeris. I've grown up eating their brisket and other places just don't live up to my expectations. The baked potato with chopped beef outs my personal favorite but they're green beans are seasoned really really well. I've never eaten at the restaurant, but I order a fried turkey from Demeris every year for a post-Thanksgiving party. It's always hot and ready for pick-up on time. The turkey is a good value, delicious, and makes great stock for cooking. We usually have 20 - 25 people for dinner, and one turkey is enough for everyone to have a bite AND have enough bits leftover for a very satisfying day-after soup. Our Association hired Demeris to cater our pool party and the food, service, quantity and quality was more than we expected. The food temperature was great for the meats, the salads & drinks were cold and the bread was soft and fresh.

At the end of service, the workers cleaned their work spaces, boxed and packed all of the left overs neatly including (slicing up the remaining meats) to be served later. Everyone at the party was commenting on how great the food tasted and the large portions they were given. The meats were so tender and juicy complimented with the potato salad and beans.

I would rate the food and service a 5 and recommended them to any one hosting a medium to large function. It removed all the stress from the board of directors where we could enjoy the function with our residents.

Good place to go get lunch or dinner. Probably not the best BBQ in the world, but very consistent. Very nice staff as well.

We also had them cater our wedding (we discussed this at the Shepherd location) and they were on point. We didn't get BBQ, but rather had chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak (we were on a budget) and it was good. They had great staff there as well, and treated us very nicely. We had our son’s graduation party (at home, outside) catered by Demeris BBQ. Ordering was easy. I ordered over the phone. They have delicious catering packages and combos already available to view online, which they help you to choose based on your budget . They really took to time to discuss options outside these, too. I kept calling to add to the number of guests, and they were very flexible.

The crew that came to set up was super polite and very professional. I was surprised at how classy the table was that they set up, with white tablecloth and baskets of bread. The buffet was a feast for the eyes. It became a charming centerpiece for our party.

Their sauce is the perfect combination of sweet and sour. The meat fell apart it was so tender. I have had several guests call to ask who catered our party! The portions were generous, plus big bowls of fresh thick cut onions and pickles, and slices of soft white bread came with it. I can’t recommend this place enough!
