We have never "returned" anywhere before. We love the facilities and the area. Located on Sparrow Lake, the view is exquisite, the beach is clean and sandy, with a play area for small children. The resort provides paddle boats and dockage, as well as a games room. Each apartment is completely self-contained and very clean. Delmonte in the Pines was the ideal location for our wedding. We invited friends and family from all over the world (we had people from New Zealand, Bermuda, Denmark, USA, England, and all over Canada attending, so we wanted somewhere they could stay and get to know each other). Delmonte offered a perfect place that was just us, quaint self-catered cottage-style rooms, plenty of activities from kayaking, peddle boats, canoes, tennis, volleyball, etc! We rented SUPs from a nearby company to keep for the week as well. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and JoAnn and Rich were so so helpful and lovely people all round! |Delmonte is 100% family run - they had campfires set up every night... Recently we had our 25th wedding anniversary celebration at Delmonte in the Pines. It has been over 2 months and my guests are still talking about how beautiful and clean this venue is. All cottages were very well kept and clean. The maintenance is top notch and the hospitality unmatched. We all had an awesome time and the owners Joann and Richard and Mary were very accommodating . Will recommend this place for family getaways and for smaller weddings and occasions if you wish to stay amidst nature and experience true north. Definitely two thumbs up....Poonam More...
