We dropped our dog Charlotte off and she received e-collar training. The staff took fantastic care of her and she still has her goofy, carefree personality. She used to be very difficult to control in and outside of the house, and now she's much easier to control and much better behaved. Professional, wonderful, and knowledgeable trainers! We were desperate to get our ill-behaved OES some manners as we had a new baby in the house and frequent visitors, in addition to a super busy lifestyle that we wanted her to be included in; walks, car rides, trail running, etc. However, due to her bad behavior - jumping - even on my 92 year old grandma, pulling on the leash, water and food aggression - she was actually being excluded. One year ago yesterday, we made one of the best decisions of our lives and sent our 2 German Shepherds to Delmarva K9. Although our pups passed puppy class and were certified K9 Good Citizens, their behaviors certainly did not demonstrate that. I could not walk them nor did we want to have people over as the dogs were undisciplined. Duke and Duchess spent 3 weeks with JC and were loved as if they were his dogs. When we brought them home, the difference was astounding! They sat, healed, downed, came when called on command. To this day, they continue to be great dogs that are disciplined. I thanked God yesterday, the anniversary of their going to training, when we were walking and a large group of kids wanted to greet the dogs. They sat and stayed while the children greeted them. Took our 1 year old lab to Delmarva K-9 for on leash training. Before training she would run wild throughout our house, tearing up anything in sight. She has the sweetest personality but needed boundaries. We picked her up today and I am in my home office doing some work while she is laying peacefully and calmly on her bed asleep. This never happened before her training. Her sweet personality is still the same, and now we can all enjoy her to the fullest. It’s been one week since we picked up our Remi. We were very skeptical at how well this training would work considering he was always a handful in every aspect and terrible on a leash walking. It is unbelievable the improvements that they made with him! We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome and progress. He is still the same silly puppy we dropped off but is able to control his hyper emotions and anxiety now. He listens to commands and most important to us, is now enjoyable to walk. I cannot say enough good things about Delmarva K9!!!!! I dropped my “babies” off for the on leash training course and ended up boarding one extra week. Fist and foremost they have accommodated my schedule and needs every time, even when it wasn’t super convenient. The staff has always been so friendly, calm, polite, and will go above and beyond to make my dogs and myself feel so comfortable. When it was pick up time I have to say I was overwhelmed!! I couldn’t believe how much work they had done and how well my dogs were behaving! My dogs were rowdy and pulled when they walked, didn’t come when called, didn’t sit, ect before I had dropped them off. When I picked them up, their demeanor had completely changed!! They now have full knowledge of their commands, and more than that they seem so happy to have their structure!!!! I’m completely blown away by the amount of training they were able to accomplish! I absolutely recommend Delmarva k9 for any boarding and training needs anyone has, nowhere else will your animal and you get the amazing treatment that this staff has provided, I’m forever grateful for what they have done for my fur babies!!!! Just picked up our dog Harley from Delmarva K9 on Friday. When we dropped her off. The best way to describe her was wild. Horrible walking on a leash (she broke my finger in December) did not want to listen, was a nightmare to have around our kids bc she constantly jumped and weighs more then both kids together . We signed her up for the on leash training and I have to say I was a bit unsure of how the 3 weeks would go, I hoped she would walk better on a leash but never expected her to better behaved altogether. She is a completely different dog now that I can allow her to be around our kids without worrying about one of them getting hurt. She listens even off leash and is doing phenomenal here at home. Just got Buddy back from his 21 day training. It’s amazing how much calmer he is and how he follows commands! Most amazing is how he walks without pulling and no more jumping! Totally recommend!

100 stars..we had the most stubborn, spoiled furbaby planted me on my face yanking me off my feet if she saw a squireel cat. .leaf while trying to just walk her...picked her up after three weeks today (needed the break have tendinitis in thumb because of her past pulling)......she walked beside me passed a cat and did not look at the creature...birds...squirrels nope nada...knows hand signals just a COMPLETELY well mannered dog will still have to instill the training and they said she will test us in the first few days of getting home...tried to jump on kitchen counter...nope that did not workout for her...laid down on a hammock style bed that she would have nothing to do with...well they used one for time out she went straight to it and is now sleeping.......and she will be boarded there when we go for a few days jaunt...ALL the staff can not say enough!!! Delmarva K9 is the bomb! I can't say enough wonderful things about JC, Heather and the staff here. I sent my 2yo rescue Shih Tzu there for obedience training. I live on a busy road and very close to a public park. My dog loves children and I worried everyday that he would run out the door and across the street to see them. Also, he would never listen and walking him in the park was not a fun experience as he would stop at every post, barrel, and pick up anything he could. I decided on off-leash training as my children and I also wanted to take him camping and to beach without having to worry about his safety. My only thought after having him back for nearly a month - WOW! I can walk my dog in the public park off leash and he stays right by my side the entire time. I can can tell him to stay and he stays right in that spot even though we walk 50 yards away. I feel so much better about my dog's safety now! The long term relationship between myself and my dog has been greatly improved thru this training! Another great thing about the staff is that they truly care about your dog. For the last 11 years, our girl has never been left with anyone but close family. The last 2 times we had to go away we had her stay with Delmarva K9 and we couldn't be happier. She seemed very comfortable from the first time we dropped her off and was just as happy as could be when we picked her up. It's like her own mini vacation when she goes there. We can travel knowing she is safe, comfortable, and getting excellent care. The whole process of booking, dropping off, picking up, and everything in between is so easy. JC is a great trainer and great person! JC puts his heart and soul in his work and it shows! Whether he’s working a family pet or a police K9 to protect the streets of the community, JC takes both equally as seriously! I decided to send my 11 month GSD here for the 3 week on leash training when a family friend recommended it. At first I was really nervous to send him away because he is my baby lol. Jax is already 92 lbs and pulled me around EVERYWHERE. I had no control over him when I walked him. He would jump on guests and only listen to commands when he felt like it. Throughout his stay I was able to visit him multiple times, I got to walk him, play with him, and the trainers kept me updated on his progress and taught me what I needed to know as the owner/ parent to maintain his progress at home. Whenever I texted them any questions they responded in a timely manner. I’ve had him back for only 2 days now and I have had absolutely zero problems with him! Including NO MORE PULLING which is my favorite part lol. It is like a Christmas miracle lol. I am glad I chose Delmarva K9 to send my boy to. Let me just say that Delmarva K-9 is amazing! JC and his staff worked miracles on my two babies. The process of dropping them off and leaving them for 3 weeks was sooooo hard for me. I missed them and home just didn't feel right without them BUT it was well worth it. JC was so patient with my constant texts checking up on my babies. My 2 yr old black lab left me as a complete out of control hot mess and came home a complete gentleman. My 4 yr old chocolate pulled me so much while walking that I hated walking him. Now he walks like a complete gentleman. For those of you on the fence about whether or not to send your dogs to Delmarva K9 for training, my advice....do it you won't regret it. My boys came home as the same dogs they have always been only now they have manners. We always had to put them outside or lock them in a room when we had company because they would jump and mouth our company. The day after we came home we had a family dinner and my 75 yr old Dad was able to walk in the house and right past the boys without be jumped on or mouthed. I could have cried. You guys are AWESOME !!!! VERY professional and reliable even for those with hard headed stubborn dogs like our Lucifer. .. I.E. This was nearly the hardest decision I ever had to make. Sending my boy (the first thing to call my own) away for three weeks of intense training. Before Arlo left, he had dragged me to the ground so many times I was AFRAID to walk my own dog independently. Upon his return, he is infinitely calmer, collected, and more sure of himself- in turn giving me the confidence I need to confidently walk and control him. Throughout the process, JC and his team updated me on his status with pictures and messages, making a seemingly difficult transition easy and reassuring for me being without my boy. I am beyond excited for his behavior change now, and the hard work JC and his team put into my dog. Bo is a hard headed yellow Labrador!! The training he received from JC and his team has made life a lot better for us and him. I had worked with him since birth but could only make some progress.
