Shocking service. These reviews are quite frankly hard to believe

I was given the awful task of sourcing a catering company for a wake in memory of a very special lady.The Internet appeared a minefield of aggressive sales copy and glitzy websites all trying to grab your attention and email address and contact numbers etc etc. It was quite by chance, and blind luck, that I came accross delightful catering and was impressed firstly by their open pricing policy and also the ease at which I could select what menu etc was appropriate for the event. It was all very straightforward and I made the call. Since that first communication and a list of follow up requests I received nothing but helpful advice and reassurances. I won't go into the details of my particular requests but we were on a tight deadline and I was effectively dealing with strangers so it was a bit nerve racking leading up to the day. The reassurances I received were warranted, on the day Delightful turned up and made 200 people very welcome and fed them very well indeed.I don't know how they pulled it off but I would put most of it down to very hard work and lots of experience. Thank you for catering at my Father's funeral. You arrived extra early at an 'unmanned' venue to set up in advance and messaged me while I was en route to the service to let me know everything was in hand which was very much appreciated. Peter & Lesley did the catering for my wedding 30/06/2017.... We cannot fault them! We had light afternoon tea followed by a bbq in the evening. Peter, Lesley and their Team catered to our every request, were attentive, professional, calm and the food was incredible. We had so many compliments from our guests! Peter and his team will look after you exceptionally well. I have used them twice for a BBQ supper for large parties (80 guests and 130 guests) and on both occasions the food has been absolutely delicious - and plentiful. Delightful Catering - I cannot recommend them highly enough. Outstanding: service, food, presentation, staff, efficiency, cleanliness, quantities and taste. 'Delightful' catered for my fathers funeral and as a family we were 100%+ thrilled with what they did. Time and time again, 'guests' comment on the wonderful food, the freshness of the ingredients, the delicious taste, the lovely presentation. Delightful Catering provided the catering for 150 guests at my fortieth birthday party. Right from the word go, Peter & Lesley were extremely helpful with discussing, advising and agreeing an interesting menu that would suit my budget. On the evening, they arrived in good time and put great effort into making the food a success. A great number of my guests commented on how fantastic the food was. They were also able to provide a tasty selection of food for guests with different dietary requirements e.g. gluten free food. Afterwards they cleaned up after themselves, so you wouldn't have known they'd been there. If you are looking for caterers, then I would highly recommend giving Delightful Catering a call. We had a formal lunchtime sit down meal, with a really good varied menu. It was all great quality and good servings. Everyone commented on the food. We then had a casual chilli buffet in the evening which was also the best ever. We couldn't have asked for more from caterers. As well as great food Peter and Lesley were lovely to deal with throughout. They were totally professional and organised, and the planning, setup and actual event was all done with a lot of attention but minimal fuss. Excellent response to a late booking...one of the few businesses I've used recently who actually ANSWER the phone quickly and in person. Lovely people ,producing and delivering good looking and very tasty homemade food...You really MUST try the scones.I used for a funeral gathering which turned out to be a non-event (all the more for me!!) but the team stayed on at venue regardless of having the opportunity to leave early.This couple deserve to succeed and if an occasion arose I would certainly book with them again.
