Certified Athletic Therapists are educated mainly in the assessment and active rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries, this includes anything to do with muscles, bones and joints. When a client enters the clinic, the Therapist will delve into the clients’ history, understanding the demands they put on their body and any health concerns they may have. During the assessment, functional movements are often performed to understand where an individual’s weakness is and what may be contributing to the injury. Understanding the cause of the injury and treating the cause is what our Certified Athletic Therapist Jessica Armstrong prides herself on! After a thorough assessment, appropriate treatment will be given which includes, but is not limited to: massage, cryotherapy, thermotherapy, electrical modalities and most importantly EXERCISE.

It is Jessica's goal to return her clients to their usual activities, whether that is splitting wood, professional sports or recreational walking!

Soft tissue release (STR) is a hands on technique that combines myofascial release, therapeutic massage and assisted stretching. It is performed by a qualified STR Practitioner to help improve scar tissue organization, tight muscles, muscle imbalances and pain levels. A specific amount of pressure is applied to the affected muscle, while the muscle is guided through its range of motion. By using this technique, the automonic nervous system will be triggered allowing the release of the targeted muscle. Clients will feel an immediate and positive effect from Soft Tissue Release!

Are you looking to improve your golf swing?! Look no further! Join our Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Fitness Professional Krista for a comprehensive TPI Assessment! A TPI assessment is used to screen a player's physical limitations through a series of 16 physical screens and video swing analysis. With this information we can make connections between a player's physical limitations and their swing, TPI calls this the Body-Swing Connection. From there we can begin to work with the player on a Strength & Conditioning program to help diminish the physical limitations that are negatively effecting their golf swing!

TPI is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. Since its inception in 2003, TPI has studied thousands of golfers ranging from the top professional Tour players to weekend enthusiasts. An incredible amount of data on players of all shapes, sizes, ages, and fitness levels has been gathered during this time. Using this data, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, TPI has analyzed how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury.

TPI does not believe in one way to swing a club, rather in an infinite number of swing styles. But, we do believe there is one efficient way for every player to swing and it is based on what the player can physically do!

The art of Cupping has been around for over 5000 years. It is an ancient type of vacuum therapy based on traditional Chinese medicine.

Cupping is a type of therapy that uses plastic or glass cups to create a negative pressure on the skin rather than a compressive pressure such as massage. There are 5 most common types of cupping: weak cupping, medium cupping, strong cupping, moving cupping and deep moving cupping. The different types correlate to the amount of negative pressure applied.

Cupping helps with inflammation, tissue congestion, restrictions in soft tissue, scar tissue, chronic pain and pre/post surgical cases.
