If you get a chance to attend any of these courses I highly recommend doing so. I recently had the honor and pleasure to attend the entire defenders series. The instructor was entertaining and very experienced. He explains the letter of the law and its relation to the spirit of the law extremely well. The actual firarms sections of these courses are clear, fast paced and dynamic with how your body reacts under stress. Let me just say I thought I could shoot before this course, but now I've never been more confident in my shooting abilities. I will absolutely be attending more training courses offered. I have taken Defenders USA CCW course 3 or 4 times now and FINALLY was able to take the Defensive Handgun 1 Course! The instructor, Adam, is absolutely phenomenal! He uses humor in the classroom, and challenges you on the range. He isn't afraid to help you make corrections and you come out a better shooter! I still have a lot to learn, but I feel confident knowing I have Defenders USA to guide me! I can't wait to get back on the range with Defenders! More...

Talk about a day well spent; got out of my car this morning and I was finding brass casings on the floor board, in the door and in the console! Thank you Adam Winch that was a fantastic class.
Having never really shot a handgun and then to go through the Defender's series and then tactical handgun I can't possibly say enough for giving me not only a working knowledge, but a in-depth view into how and why we shoot like we do. I had the awesome opportunity to take a defensive handgun course through defenders usa and it was worth every min. Adam Winch is incredibly knowledgeable and makes the class fun while teaching invaluable skills needed to protect yourself, family and those around you. Veterans, do yourself a favor and take Adam’s class as soon as possible! I’m talking to you, who spent much of your adult life in the military, odds are you have not trained or shot like this. Sure, you can hit 300m targets, stack up, breach and clear a room, field strip the heck out of a Beretta, taught others to do the same, maybe even have a combat patch or two and stories you don’t tell. But it is unlikely you have had this training…and it is the very training you need. Now you are out, fatter and happier, hunt and shoot a lot and have that favorite pistol you actually enjoy shooting. Take this class! It will open your eyes and give you the skills to run the drills you should be running now. Think about it, if you actually need that CCW pistol, it will likely be just you, no buddies, no radio, no backup to save your and possibly your family’s skin. Statistically you’ll be lucky to have 3 seconds to do it and it will all go down at arm’s length. Adam’s class is the no-frills, no-crap, basic close quarters reaction drills that you will need if you actually need to pull that gun. And it is for anyone, retiree, soccer mom, mature kid who can listen and learn. I will be back, intend to take my entire family back, and will be begging my friends to go. Class time is fun, realistic, serious enough to stick, and will give you skills enough to go out and practice them on your own. Many of the drills you can even do without a gun. Prepare to be humbled but educated, make room for the skills and drills you should have been practicing for years. It’s never too late, take this class!!! More...

I travel the western slope and attend/participate in many CCW classes for my job. Hands down.... no comparison... The Defenders Series is THE BEST! !!

I went through the CCW class last night with Adam and loved it. Adam did a great job with engaging the entire audience and making the class super fun. On a Friday night after a long work week I was wondering how I could make it through a long class and stay awake...I had no problem. Wow I don't have words to correctly describe how amazing and awesome the ccw class I took with defenders USA. I have a short attention span and over the course of the almost 5 hours I sat there not once did I get bored or distracted awesome awesome thank you Adam you we so funny and helpful it was a blast.

We are so fortunate to have such a high caliber instructor right here in Colorado. I have trained with several others in this state. And while I have picked up some good information from them the teaching methods, knowledge, and passion to properly educate do not compare to Defenders USA. The courses taught are so so in depth and informative. And with multiple course options you have the ability to become a responsible citizen with a gun instead of a liability with a gun. Defenders goes well beyond simply teaching you how to fire your weapon. I cannot recommend this company enough and will continue my training at Defenders in the future. More...

I can't say enough about this class and I want to drag everyone to it even if they are kicking and screaming. If you want to carry you NEED to come! ! He does a great job with balancing the legal and mental state of what you need with the actual gun training and handling. Ladies if you are squimish about doing a class like this I can say that he did a great job of helping me at my level. If I did this you can too!!
