Q&As

I always start with pencil and paper, that's the true measure of a creative in my opinion. Technologies we may use now may very well become obsolete in ten years, however the ability to communicate an idea through conceptual drawing will always be relevant. Once we've agreed on the visual and conceptual direction, I'll then apply the thought processes and draw them up in the appropriate software. Interim check-ups are important, the relationshi between client and professional should be a two way conversation.

In an ideal world, I'd always like to arrange a meeting prior to beginning any creative work. Skype, FaceTime or phone call is good, face to face is better. I pride myself on my client handling and relationship building abilities, so understanding exactly what you need and the logistics of how I can arrange this is key to my process.

Communicating messages to the world using bespoke and considered visual language, and the ability to influence on a mass scale.

I've always wanted to be my own boss, and have shone in leadership skills from a young age.

Clients should choose me for my exceptional eye for detail, and my willingness to execute aesthetic taste with well thought through concepts.

Services

A holistic and end-to-end approach that I've developed over numerous projects with clients, that includes:

- A market audit and research: To better understand who you're up against and how best to position your product

- 3 design routes or "territories", that differ and tap into slightly different approaches: I find this the best method for developing work collaboratively

- I often include what I call: "The cutting room floor". These are snippets of work that are often unfinished that didn't make the final cut, but it's happened in the past where the client has seen more potential in them than me, so I like to share them

- All packaged up in a professional PDF deck that you can provide to your shareholders

This follows the same project structure as the "Branding Packaging", but I get to use my specialist background here by developing concept packaging and artwork, or adapting your artwork to pack, and everything in-between.

I spent a lot of time designing on-shelf artwork for ALDI, meaning that I've seen a vast amount of packaging formats in my time! Interesting shapes and substrates shouldn't really surprise me.

Branding & Packaging are my main two specialisms, but I have vast skills in other areas including: Digital Design including CRM & PAID Ads, Illustration, Bespoke Typography, Brand Guidelines, Retouching and more. I'm also an amateur Photographer, with experience Art-Directing shoots.

Feel free to reach out if your project needs some special attention.
