Declan has guided me to achieving my dream Taekwondo competition weight of 68 kilograms through a sustainable and healthy diet. He made sure to take my specific situation into account (I am finishing my PhD at the moment, so don't have a huge amount of time for cooking and food shopping) and provided me with great feedback along the way. He is extensively knowledgeable about nutrition and holistic approaches to achieving both weight and health targets. I’ve been working with Declan for over 2 months now during a very busy work period. It’s so useful to have such an informed individual on hand to give tips and advice. He’s made it very easy to maintain a disciplined, healthy diet throughout the stressful final year of uni just by making small changes to my day to day routine. He’s full of so many clever ideas to stay disciplined during tricky periods and tailors his advice to suit your lifestyle. I’ve always struggled to gain weight and track if I was getting enough calories, but since I started receiving coaching from Declan he gave me goals to work towards which were challenging but realistic with the spare time I had. He made it clear what my calorie intake should be and was flexible around how I could manage it, as well as being really flexible with the length and intensity of my workouts. The coaching helped me understand nutrition better and when/what I should be eating, as well as specific exercises to gain muscle and increase my strength. Declan was always friendly and really on the ball with check-ins and catching up, he let me tailor the coaching to what I wanted to do and was always available to answer any queries I had. Having weight trained for a while, I never really looked too far into nutrition other than tracking calories, assuming it didn't really matter. This lead to lots of unhealthy eating habits and me feeling sluggish and tired all the time. Since I started working with Declan he really helped me better understand my nutrient needs and take control of my nutrition. I feel so much more energised and overall healthier now, as well as have been progressing in the gym again after a long plateau! Definitely recommend Declan for nutritional plans and advice, great coach that pays attention to your specific needs, likes and dislikes to make plans that you can understand, follow, and work! :D More...

Declan was great for simplifying and making clear what was needed for a successful approach to nutrition. Helped provide me with a sustainable plan (that I can still follow and achieve good results months after starting it) and is superb at answering any questions about nutrition, and in such a way that makes it easy to understand and incorporate into your own personal diet.

When i used to do workouts i found it hard to maintain my focus and drive after two or three weeks. The support i received from Declan really kept me motivated. Providing the guidelines, and getting back to basics, avoiding all the fancy high tech dieting/fat loss schemes Declan is certain to help you and provide the tools that allow for results to be gained. He started me on a program that, months after it ended, I can still follow and incorporate into my lifestyle. It wasn't so much a diet as a slight change in lifestyle. It allowed me to get back to shape and feel more confident after four years of uni, and in plenty of time for my graduation.
