As a counselling therapist, I offer a warm and compassionate, confidential space for you to bring any issues which may be troubling you, and my aim is to support you in making sense of your situation, or your life, and to help you find a sense of inner well-being.
My approach is empathic and non-judgmental, and I see each client as a unique person with individual needs. It is in building a supportive and trusting relationship together, where you can explore what might be getting in the way of feeling fulfilled, that you can gain deeper understanding and self-awareness. In supporting you with whatever area of your life you are finding difficult, we can work together to help you discover inner resources from which the changes you desire can occur.
Counselling can help with anxiety, depression, feeling lost or stuck, bereavement, relationship difficulties and much more. Talking to someone in complete confidence offers you the time and space to look at what is causing imbalance or suffering. As your counsellor and therapist, I will listen deeply. I will create an emotionally safe place for you to express, make sense of, and care for your emotional pain.
I am a fully qualified counselling therapist, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework promoting good practice, and I continually update and improve my work through regular further training and supervision. As well as my counselling qualifications and experience, I bring my experience of study in the body-mind relationship, through previous training in Shiatsu and Craniosacral therapy.
I work in Exeter city centre on Mondays, and in Somerset, not far from Glastonbury and Bridgwater, from Tuesday to Friday. Choosing a counsellor can be daunting, so I offer a 15 minute phone call, in which you can ask questions and get a sense of us working together. Ongoing sessions which are normally weekly and last for one hour, are £45.00
