We booked Debbie Boyd band at quite short notice for our wedding as we'd been let down by our previous band.
A friend recommended them and we were not disappointed!
From the first moment of contact Debbie's calm, professional manner put us straight at ease. Nothing was too much trouble!
We chose our style of music and our first song and due to the late notice and the fact the song wasn't on the first Dance list, we thought our first dance couldn't be sang but would be played as there was no time for it to be rehearsed so we didn't even ask.
Once again from the moment the band arrived we didn't need to worry about anything. The band eased in set up and we're ready to play without a hitch.
And then the music started, brilliantly, amazingly perfect! For our first dance the band started playing and Debbie started singing and it was just as beautiful as it should have been and a fantastic surprise!
Everyone from every generation was on the dance floor, the atmosphere was fantastic!
I can't wait until we have the next big family event so we can book you all again Debbie!
For me you are the perfect wedding band and I can't thank you enough for making our evening so very special.

After scouring around for a band good enough to play at our wedding and the fact that my only wish for the day was to play guitar with them for a few songs, we were put in touch with the band via an agency. We went to see them at a local wedding venue and met them before one of their gigs and I was delighted that they were all so very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. On the wedding day, they really did pull out all of the stops. With not many dancing (just down to venue layout) and Debbie heavily pregnant, she just carried on giving it her absolute all. I had a fantastic time playing a few songs with them and since then we've all become good friends and I've played with them on a number of occasions. My wife has booked them for a number of Christmas parties in the past and I've also played at those with them, so I see how they operate on stage and off it. They really do things right, are absolute professionals with a great repertoire that can cover so much material. And with a good number of exceptional professional musicians to call on, they can upscale and ensure you are never let down. I cannot recommend them highly enough. More...

Excellent singer vocals and sound - she really went above and beyond our expectations to create a great party atmosphere, singing whilst dancing with guests, utterly superb. At one point I looked from the dance floor and realised that everyone was dancing! 5 to 10 piece live band
Drums, bass, guitar, keys/piano, lead female vocalist and 4 male backing vocalists. All sound, stage and dancefloor lighting included. Two hours worth of fanastic floor fillers from the 60s to current chart hits, split into 2 or 3 sets with suitable pre-mixed filler music played during breaks.
DJ service
Available for during band breaks. Manned service with huge back catalogue of classic hits through the decades, right up to current chart hits. Requests actively encouraged on the night.
Horn section
Add our popular 3 piece horn section (or even just one or two players!) for that fabulous full live soul sound.
Scottish ceilidh dancing, with calling
A dedicated 45 minute set of Scottish ceilidh dancing, with calling by Scottish singer, Debbie Boyd. Popular dances include the Gay Gordons, Strip The Willow and the Dashing White Sergeant!
Jazz trio for arrival drinks
Background music including traditional swing and jazz standards and smooth jazz arrangements of contemporary pop songs. Available as duo, trio and other line-ups right up to full band. Suitable for arrival drinks. Has it's own small PA so can be set up in a different area from the main band.
