So I went there and bought my antiques, I was met by a lady who obviously wasn't knowledgeable enough to do valuations ,whose name I don't remember. And guess what she gave me a valuations of £100 for my set of portraits and a £20 for an Utamaro woodblock. I told her I'd rather keep my antiques than sell them so cheap. In fact I have not sold anything below £20 on my shop, not even for a vintage hairbrush, lol. What a waste of my precious time. More...

I contacted Dawson's after I heard about them locally. I was met by Aubrey (of TV antiques show fame no less!) who helped value and assess an number of my assets including classic vehicles, jewellery and watches. Their estimations were accurate and I sold several items in one recent sale, and then purchased some new collectibles whilst there too. Have personal experience of Bonhams and Christies. Dawson's surpassed my expectations and it's fantastic to support a local company and a fabulous team.
